If at first you don't succeed, kill all witnesses.

Or alternatively:

If at first you don't succeed, find a plausible scapegoat.

Khadarel rolled his eyes. He was enduring a distinct sense of déjà vu in the council’s debate. "Belial," he said in a mockingly exaggerated patient voice, "Once more I arrived too late, and a majority vote was reached before I turned up. I apologise most sincerely for my lack of punct...

Khadarel stumbled into the room, late and accompanied by the guards. His eyes where slightly disfocused, but noone was foolish enough to think it a sign of possession, instead attributing it to the new line of bruises on his forehead. He wandered over and flopped on the floor, catching up on the con...

Khadarel nodded. He was annoyed with himself, a fact that was obvious from the expression on his face. “I seem to have dropped myself in it. I suppose that my opinions will get me voted off, tomorrow if not today. Then it looks to me as though if we are unable to chase down the last person today, I ...

Khadarel merely smiled when he heard Zardock name him as suspicious. He shifted position and replied: ‘I already explained why I refrained from voting. Indeed, I took great pains to do so, and if you find that a reason to suspect me then I really fail to understand just what I can say to convince yo...

Khadarel grimaced at the speed with which the events where unfolding. He was feeling under the weather. Though he had ducked under most of the low ceilings and portals, he had still managed to crack his head several times. 'Well, unless the blows to the head that I have taken have affected my basic ...

"Ah" Khadarel spoke, smiling through his impatience, or baring his teeth anyway, "So, though the fact that until voting starts we can have no real evidence is generally agreed, we have people here who refuse to vote until they see evidence. Good. Now we can all understand why we are g...

"I'm sure I cannot be the only one who does not have a clue what you are wittering on about. If you want to wait for the spirit to jump up and announce itself then that is your own business, but unless you have some VERY powerful lightning conductors around, it does not seem a winning tactic. B...

Khadarel rolled his eyes and sighed exasperatedly. 'Seriously people we are getting nowhere. Slowly. If we want to know what is what, then we NEED to do something. A random vote if nothing else, but do SOMETHING! And soon! At he risk of sounding melodramatic, the eleventh hour approaches.' As he sat...

After moving to a new position in the room with plenty of room to duck should any more lightning come visiting, Khadarel stood once more. ‘Our time for action is rapidly running out. If something is going to be done then it will have to be done quickly. We don’t have any serious information and lets...

'Kilia, my so called "tirade", is how I normally speak. I am a sarcastic, unpleasant individual, so deal with it. We do not all feel the need to mutilate ourselves to prove devotion. But what you have said, wrapped up in pretty phrases, is that we should sit and wait, but not too long. Tha...

'Questioning is a good idea.' Khadarel interjected, 'But I do believe that some members of our esteemed company have not yet deemed it time for them to introduce themselves. Bad manners, probably. However, if those mighty and distinguished persons would deign to talk to us mere mortals, and at least...

If you want to rescue Thasia, does that mean that the Griefbringers coming back? Or is she just going to escape prior to the battle and come back for revenge? As for Skarsnik, i am fairly sure he is a lord.

From the corner of the chamber stepped forward an elf. He had a shock of white hair, unusually short for an elf, and bland, unmemorable features. However, the most striking thing about him was his enormous size. He stood head and shoulders above the majority of the elves in the chamber. Over one sho...

My dreadknight ends up in a challenge with a Chaos Lord with a Great Weapon. After dodging 4 out of 5 attacks and making a 6+ armour save against the hit, he swings back. He (and his Cold One) hit with every attack, not even needing Hatred. The Chaos Lords Armour of Damnation made me reroll every hi...

In my case, the Hydra normally does very little. I charge, he fluffs, the Apprentices pick up the slack and do 3-4 wounds, and i win by outnumbering the enemy with a terror causer.

I have to say that as far as i'm concerned hatred is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because i can actually kill something, and a curse because now my troops think it's allright to fluff their attacks first time round. :D

I have an idea on how to defeat wraiths. I began to think about it because i know someone who has made a deathstar wraith unit led by a vampire lord. It is defended from magic by 3 necromancers with 2 dispel scrolls each. However i have found a way to stop it, using my standard list. The premise sho...

Re: New Army - 2k points

Hey, I'm just getting back into Warhammer and I'm building a Druchii army. My thinking is I'm going to first paint 2k points so I can play as soon as possible. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I'm hoping that if I only paint the necessary points to fill a 2k list I'll be done before the next dark e...

I went for Malus, as i ALWAYS fail a stupidity check, and one day its going to matter. However, with this logic i might as well vote for Spite. If i could field him on his own, then i would.

Protection shouldn't be as bad as people seem to think. Blood Armour states that the save increases versus each unsaved wound. That seems to suggest that overkill in challenges provides a boost in armour saves for each point of overkill. I'm not 100% certain about that, however a couple of other peo...

Relating to your earlier battle reports: Your Dread Knight must be PARCHED from all this time having to drink sea water. Don't worry, lizardmen annoy me as well.
