@Lonely Shade: I think I just misread it. That happens to me sometimes.

Now it makes more sense.

I'm not sure I follow? What does Cold One Knights having to annoint themselves with slime to prevent the Cold One attacking them, and the question that is unanswered about the effects of said slime, have anything to do with what mount Malekith rides? Yeah but since you were refering to Maelketh not...

Not available in Canada yet.... damn. I hope the new book is available for pre-order by the time I get the first paycheck from my new job. I hope they release new cold ones for the COCs too, as they appear to be lacking currently. That would be odd: super cool COKs, and ugly COs for the chariots. I'...

Next we'll be hearing about Slaanesh parties (which I have no objection to), but it'll be in detail! GROSS! No thanks matie. I always like it how everybody assumes that a Slaaneshi Party is about sex. Slaanesh is about pleasure, which you can get from many different sources and not just sex. Well i...

Whether or not Malekith can take off his armour, ever, is as ambivalent as whether or not Cold One Knights lose all feeling forever due to the Cold One slime, or just temporarily with prolonged exposures leading to permanent damage. Different sources say different things. Malekith rides a Dragon, n...

Hmm... yeah. Cult of Pleasure and whatnot... there had to be some sex in there somewhere . In ancient egypt it was belived that the nobility where related to the gods, therefore they married their own family member so that the devine blood wouldnt be poluted. Well it was like that in all kingdoms wh...

It looks like those faces have BULGES, where eyebrows were meant to be painted on, and I think that's what's making them look weird (to me). I think you should definitely paint on some sweet eyebrows.

Man we're way off here, but, sometimes, I have trouble locating passages in the Bible (Old Testament especially) where God, or his followers, ARE friendly. But that's just me. AAAAAAAAAAnyway, back on topic, Dark Elves are whack when it comes to their sex lives. Even if they don't "lie with&quo...

I would have said "Best tactic for assassins: don't use them"

But this strategy looks solid.

Have you playtested it? I will.

But wasnt it usual for nobles to marry their cousins during the dark ages? Oh it wasn't just during the dark ages. In most societies where they have royal families, it is mandatory to marry within them. EVEN TODAY IN BRITAIN!!!! DUH DUH DUH!!!!! I don't think it's mandatory today in Britain, just w...

It seems to me that if you want to get the mage in Melee, dark riders are the way to go? they're fast enough to escape if they have to flee from a charge.

if their mage has a mount (which i'm going to go ahead and guess that it does), that could be a different problem entirely. RxBs on them, maybe?

Yeah they have blisters with wings in 'em! Damn if harpies get better next edition I'm SO doing that. The current models are, may I say, REALLY ugly. Their arms are skinny, and then their hands are HUEG!

Re: Dark Rider Imagery

Interesting. The fighting style is silly and was never actually used by anyone. Their left hands would need to control the reins as well, and its no defense against lances or even blades whiloe making those massive swings. its possible to leave a horse to its own devices for a few seconds to shoot ...

Hmm to me it's all standard forum stuff. You know what Warseer has that I'd like to see here? multiquote. you can kind of "check off" different posts if you want to quote a bunch of things, and then they're all there in chronological order of posting time. Can you do that here without a bu...

Minsc if you could find out where you read that stuff, that would be great. If literature that says that could be found, it would mean the the Oedipal complex is alive and well in Druchii culture.

Oh yeah. I forgot he couldn't take his armor off because he got owned at the fire-ritual-thing. Damn that's gross. I thought someone would be like "oh well in this book it says ..." and it would disprove this. I was wondering how they could lie with each other for thousands of years and no...

Does Maelketh... "lie with" his mom?

I have very little evidence of this, just the following: First off, if Maelketh is the Witch KING, and Morathi is the Witch QUEEN, what does that say about their relationship? Secondly, on page 72 of the Codex (first printing of the current edition), there is a story called "Dark Power" at...

Recent replies page?

Perhaps some sort of plugin or page in the User CP that shows you what threads you've replied to recently. Many other forums have these (warseer.com is a good example) and they're durn handy.

Haven't got my rulebook with me but isn't there a clause in 7th ed that lets a rider cast if their mount is stupid? I thought someone pointed that out to me a while back. @sulla: indeed, page 52, paragraph.6. If the cold one acts stupid then no magic. That's awfully contradictory.... Can magic be c...

First off nothing wrong with being new to a game despite how many in the net will tell you differently. Second, the best way to test out tactics, find their flaws and adapt is actually playing that game. This is all I meant. You were not asking for advice, so it was not really my position to give i...

I'm fine with criticism. I enjoy when I get criticized. When you were commenting on the strategy that I suggested? That was wonderful. Got my gears turning. I'm going into Logic, and battlefield tactics are simply a logic exercise. When you started to be patronizing? That was not wonderful. 10 years...
