I think in the case of the Hive Tyrant, it was more of a Swarmlord kit, as it hadn't had a model yet. But for the COB, I have and prefer to use the older model with the cauldron on wagon.

I love me a good Hellebron/Manticore combo! Do they get shot to hell gloriously at times? Of course! But when they hit the right target, it's bloody carnage.

My understanding is that you can use the base that came with the model when it was sold or go bigger. So in your example, no the chaos players would not have to re-base their models just because the more recently released hellcanon has a bigger base.

Personally I would make another 10 spearmen and 10 more RxB. Usually in larger games, I will have a big block of 40 spearmen and 2 units of 10 RxBs.

I love and will definitely order it! Personally, I think the DE Archon looks a little too different to fit the Elves. But it will fit nicely with the RH Blood Vestals (of which I still havent received )!

It seems as if they have removed almost all of the painting articles. Most likely this is due to the new paint release as the older articles wouldn't reflect the new line.

First off, I love your conversions especially the Paladin BSB. As for the trebshet, I would convert the RBT to look like onager or ballista. Some of the later Roman ballista were similar in form but used to hurl stones instead of large bolts.
