Fantastic kit bash JimJam. The cloak from the new chariot kit looks ace.
The left arm looks (IMHO) a little awkward in that position though...

Re: Let me get this straight....
From my understanding, GW has prohibited most online retailers (i.e Wayland Games et al) from shipping to non EU addresses for this exact reason. To quote from Wayland Games - Ships To: Due to the GW trade terms we regret to inform customers that we can only ship this product to the following countr...

Re: Let me get this straight....
Yeah that's pretty crazy. Presumably they justify the price with it being a 72 page full colour hard back. The eBook version is £19.99 . It does not state if it has the same content (gallery etc etc), and I also couldn't find it on the GW website, I could only find it on the Black Library website (b...

Re: What's this model
While most 'Warhammer Collectors' models are disappearing from alot of GW sites (UK has next to none now...), I was recently very happy to discover this model (amongst others) is still available on the NZ GW site.
Ah, sweet nostalgia.
Cheers

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony
Wow, you have been busy! Crackin stuff all round. The harpies in particular are incredibly dynamic (and the different heights only adds to that). Did you pin the wings? I got a box of those models to use with DEldar Scourge bat wings, but they are so frail I havn't gone near them yet. Just wondering...

Re: [PLOG] Elvenstar's yet to be named Dark Elves
Really interesting Plog you have here Elvenstar, and some great looking models! I have read a fair bit about the wash method, but good to see one of our brethren putting it into practice. Thanks for putting up the K-Beast at the grey scale stage. I have been thinking of doing that myself (gave up on...

Re: [PLOG] Azoth´s diabolical forge
Some really inspiring work in here Azoth. Thanks in particular for the low down on the RH Manticore. I have been eying it up for some time, but have held off getting it because I had heard it was quite small. The work you are putting into the musculature seems to be putting that right, bulking it ou...

Re: Dark Elf Ships
As Ragian Cain has said, they were custom jobs. If I recall correctly, they were built as part of a massive display board representing part of the coast of Ulthuan set for a Druchii invasion battle report in WD. Sadly, the fickle nature of time means I can't remember if it was fairly recent, or some...

Re: DRUCHII.NET RAGING HEROES PAINTING COMPETITION - Novice
Time grows thin, and slips away like sand. I did paint my entry about a month ago, decided it wasn't ambitious enough to win, chucked it in the fairy power spray, and then never got back to it, due to various upheavals in my life. On the plus side, I got married a couple of days ago, and am about t...

Some really cool models coming about here folks. The standard is pretty high! (slightly intimidating really ). Thanks all for the comments regarding my Corsair. I have updated the original photo to reflect some last minute prep work (it turns out Acetone cleans up LGS pretty well). It is now underco...

Re: Zlatan's painting blog - Sorceress conversion
The Sorcoress is looking great! As far as the squdball goes, have you thought of throwing another colour in the mix? Maybe a swirl of 'balefire' blue or something, lightly feathered on? Could make it pop a little, whilst adding an fey edge without detracting from the palatte. Having said that, maybe...

Re: Armies on Parade Dark Elf Board - Progress WIP
That ruined tower is VERY cool. Can't wait to see some paint on it! To second T.D's comment, I don't think Geedub would have an issue with things you scratchbuild yourself (especially when they are done in such a manner as your watch tower). I think they only take issue when you dare to buy products...

Re: COMPETITION CHAT THREAD
Cheers Cult of Khaine for posting my entry here. Yeah, I have always loved this model, and kicked myself for quite sometime that I didn't stock up on these Corsairs before the new plastic kit was released (which in my opinion has some terrible design elements e.g those ridiculous fluted hats). Thank...

Re: Who's Interested in a Painting & Modelling Competition
Between managing a restaurant, freelancing on my days off, an impending wedding (the sword of Damocles), and preparing to move across the globe back to the land of my birth, my hobby has sadly been on the back burner. However, I have had a single model in mind to paint up, and I reckon I could scrap...

Re: Cauldron of Blood - and other Dark Elfish things by kend
Awesome Pegasi! Although I shudder to think of the cost On another note, how did you like the Ultraforge dragon? I have been eyeing it up lately myself (that and the FW Carmine Dragon...). I think it is pretty cool that they have designed the wings and howdah to be magnetized. Although I do prefer m...

Not great IMO. The coolest thing in this thread is Akuma (even if he is playing ruddy hell with my phone). The Sea Guard hero (or whoever he is) is pretty cool. So are the Phoenix riders. The rest I think is pretty meh.

Re: Coven of magic and temple of Khaine conflict?
An interesting question. IIRC, (and if I have just made it up I'm standing by it), the main reason for hostilities between the Coven and the Temple is Morathi. Slaanesh was long a major part of her background, and her Coven (as I see it) are a bunch of chaos worshipping, pleasure seeking betrayers. ...

Re: The beginnings of my terrain creations
Good looking stuff mate. Always love seeig a bit of K1W1 ingenuity. Get the number eight wire out and she'll be right (and all that). Aaaaanyway, the hills look good, but would be easier to get an idea of the finished product with a slap of paint on them. What wood are you using for the tables? Are ...

Re: [PLOG] The Lost Colony
Lovely stuff all round. Really like the conversions, and the fluff. The blood vestal sculpt is fantastic sculpt (although I'm not quite sure about the eye brows...). Well painted, although I will enquire about the use of washes? I myself am I fiend for them, and find they really help give depth and ...
