Congratulations
Most importantly glad you seemed to both have a great time. Also pulling in another Druchii victory is always fantastic. Executioners are insane. In my opinion they are the best 1 wound infantry model in the game.
What worked well? Anything not live up to your expectations?

If rumours are to be believed Aelf box set due out in the summer, wouldn't surprise me if it also has a Slaanesh force too. Hopefully worth the wait.

Agreed. Terrain is very important. Remember the save bonus applies in every phase however if you've charged that turn you don't get it in the following combat phase.

Aids & Strategies for Age of Sigmar-General Principles
Good day Tyrants, Dread Lords and Ladies. It has been suggested that I use my experience of AoS to start a series of threads regarding the tactics and strategies I have used and encountered so far. I have been playing Warhammer for 26 years and have played about 30 games of AoS now. Please feel free...

Re: First real AoS game
Good luck,
killing summoners is a great plan, I would also try to concentrate fire and use battleshock as your friend. Any battleshock losses will really hurt as he will have to remove whole models and as they have multiple wounds it gets through quickly.
Please let us know how it goes.

Re: Topic of the Week - What did your last game feel like?
Good day Princess 6th was very good, I did marginally prefer the amendments 7th brought but anything was better than 5th. The terror of hero hammer, those were dark days indeed. Dark Elves vs Tomb kings was my favourite game in that edition. Both armies trying to do the same thing in completely diff...

Re: Topic of the Week - What did your last game feel like?
Ouch, definitely a game where going second would be an advantage I imagine. Glad it helped with mechanics. I've played against bretonnions several times in AoS now but not empire yet. Their damage output on charge is ludicrous, a lot worse once within three inches and Pegasus knights especially are ...

Re: Topic of the Week - What did your last game feel like?
Good morning Daeron and fellow Dread Lords and Ladys Mine was Saturday, it was AoS and happened to the final of my first tournament in 12 years. I was initially disappointed as my chosen opponent and nemesis lost his semi final. But the game was wonderful. My Druchii led by Malekith himself against ...

Winter War tournament finals day
Good morning everyone hope you are well. Today I'm involved in the semi-finals and possibly final of my local stores winter war tournament. Three of the four armies involved are elves. There's a tomb king/vampire count player surrounded by a very shooting heavy high & wood elf army with Alliarie...

Re: Counts As
My first thought was shades until I saw your second post. Neither I nor any of my gaming group would have the slightest problem as long as we knew what they're meant to be. Sisters, executioners or bleakswords are all options. If in doubt converse with your opponent before the game to make sure they...

Re: Thoughts on New Eddition Units.
You're very welcome. I have loved every game with them so far. There are several units I've not used yet, a synergistic corsair battleshock army needs to see play and I have used witch elves or cauldron yet. The latter is mostly due to proliferation of Exiled Blood Cult armies in the League I'm play...

Re: Thoughts on New Eddition Units.
Here is the continuation of my experience of the units you've mentioned. I will try to be more brief, no promises. General Principles-virtually all sorceresses are fantastic support characters, all of our specialist spells do damage or are hexes in old terms. Don't underestimate the usefulness of my...

Re: Thoughts on New Eddition Units.
Sorry to be joining this thread late. I have played 20 or so games with my beloved Druchii in AoS now and have tried many (although not all) of the units available. Many of your "guessamacations" are accurate. I will give you my thoughts on the units you've mentioned. Malekith: you are cor...

Re: First real AoS game
Doomfire Warlocks (especially in units 10+) are insane, doombolt 5+ to cast if ten or more +1 to cast and 6 mortal wounds! Shades are superb, especially if you are limiting number of warscrolls. 2x attacks in each of combat and shooting phases on 4+ 4+ is great. What makes them spectacular is their ...

Re: First real AoS game
Executioners are magnificent. They won me a game on Thursday against Bretonians. They killed 10 knights of the realm and butchered 3x20 bowman with loss of only four models. Cold one knights don't do much damage unless charging but can take a reasonable amount (don't forget those rerolls) but I thin...

Re: First real AoS game
Really well, everybody that's playing in it absolutely love it. The store has come up with a pick up and play comp system regarding lists. Maximum of 8 warscrolls (may combine into maximum of one battalion) Maximum wounds per warscroll is 20 Up to three warscrolls may be heroes (up to 2 of those can...

Re: Pleasure Cults
Indeed Princess. I understand GW's problem with Slaanesh, with the age range of customers from 8-108 there are occasionally things that aren't suitable for all. I think many of the issues stem from a large section of the community focusing too heavily on the lust aspect. Although as sins go it's a f...

Re: Pleasure Cults
Thank you for your kind words. Warhammer 6th/7th (especially 7th) was the best period of warhammer rules wise imnsho. Unfortunately the army will need some work most of my Druchii are genericly painted. Mostly Dark Green with deep red as spot or contrast. My army was 25000 points in 7th. So time to ...

Re: First real AoS game
Executioners are indeed very good. Their potential damage output is ludicrous, well depending upon your ability to roll 6's. Black Guard are slightly more consistent but don't if you trust your dice rolls the Executioners are the unit to take. I will have to try Sisters of Slaughter too at some poin...

I have just picked up the Grand Alliance Chaos book, gives some indication of how order may go. Not expecting Druchii/exiles to go quite yet. It brought me to thinking of the Cult of Slaanesh army from storm of chaos book years ago. So thought of doing a list to represent the 7 deadly sins using the...

Congratulations, I too am enjoying it very much. My local store in running a league at the moment which has my gaming group enthralled. Re: A question on synergy: Is this right?
Hugging cover is so important with them.
On top of the number of attacks they can unleash the initiative bonus they can generate in deciding who goes first is invaluable.
anything which gives them re-rolls makes them insanely good.

Re: A question on synergy: Is this right?
Not quite as powerful as you were anticipating but a unit of shades have 2 attacks in each of combat and shooting phase hitting on 4+. Through in a dreadlord on a dragon whose re-rolls to hit command ability does not specify which phase it applies to could be very powerful. 25 shades would get 100 a...

Scourgerunner Chariots?
Hello everybody. I am about to start playing in an AoS campaign with my regular gaming group. I am considering using a Druchii army based on the realm of beasts. I can imagine my Beastmaster, Khallus the Tormentor, settling here hunting all sorts of cools monsters and beasties. The campaign structur...

Re: Age of Sigmar League
The games will take place on 4x4 boards with a 2 hour time limit. Malekith is very good, but don't like to use overpowered things without reason. So only plan to use him if Nagash, Archaon etc... are in play, plus any game against high elves if only for old times sake. Although I do like the dreadlo...
