What lore do you think would be best?
Lore of Heaven seems to be ideal, so does Dark Magic.

I made some shades with the use of Glade Guard bodies and heads together with Wych Elf (Dark Eldar) legs.

How is this relevant for Shades and Waywatchers?

Movement 9 isn't slow for cavalry.

But with 2 more strength 5 attacks and d3 impact hits, also T4 and W3.

Why Great Stags? Because their stats are: WS5, S5, T4, W3 A2 with Impact Hits D3 - they buff the Noble's Wounds and Thoughness and give a lot of combat prowess. Remember Wood Elves can also get Scouts that can choose Arrows. The Hagbane (Poison) Arrow on Scouts is a good way to take out Warmachines early.

The Wood Elf Elven Steeds do have Fast Cavalry. Look under Mounts in the Hero Section.

Also, most Wildrider Buses consist of Great Stags.

They only have 4+ Scaly Skin.
Before with S5 they could actual win combats, now with only S4 they will have trouble winning fights - and T5, 4+ & 6++ doesn't help if you loose combat and flee.

But as I see it forest spirits have been nerfed, all of them lost a point of strength and they only have 6++ save now. :/

What I find rather sad and amusing is that I thought Dark Elves were suppose to be an all out glass cannon, but compared to Wood Elves they are tough. :S

Waystalkers only have 1 attack. Hence with Bow of Loren and Multiple Shot 2 they will have 4 shots, most hit, half wound - then saves come in.

There will be some good comboes in the book, but I don't think the Waystalker is one of them.

Waystalker only has 1 Attack and 25 points magical allow-ens (from what I read). So that will be 2 shots (unless Savage Beast) hitting on (2+ -1 long, -1 Sniper, -1 moving/cover) 5+, S3 with AP. Not going to do a world of difference.

Rule wise I'm always annoyed that you can't equip your knights, executioners and whatever with what you would like. It would bring more diversity to the game and rules.

It seems like taking a shortcut giving them High and Dark lore instead of their own forest lore. Previous fluff wise there should be no indication giving them both High and Dark - and I think it is a pity they don't get their own lore. From the creators perspective I can see it might be hard to come...

Wood elves are getting dark magic and high magic.

Giant Owls: Awesome majestic creatures!
Owlbears/moonkins: Chaos spawn from high fantasy D&D/Warcraft that need to be killed with fire.

The rumors are three multi part plastic kits. One with warhawks or giant owls + waywatchers, a set with stag knights and finally a set with some different tree men.
Nothing about wild riders or glade riders.
Haven't heard anything about wardancers either but i cross my fingers.
