Re: Mount for Sorceress?

Completely unrelated question: how does the dark steed let the sorceress vanguard? Yes, it has fast cavalry, but the sorceress doesn't, and fast cavalry isn't listed in the list of special rules that a mount confers to its rider.

Re: How do you keep the hobby alive?

I had my miniatures packed away for quite a while, too. What made me buy a glass cabinet and buy more and more minis was having a good place to go to - a game store around the corner. Now I go there almost every day when I'm taking a break from work or in the evening, mostly just to talk to people. ...

Re: warmachine

It's a great game, very different from GW games though in that its rules are exact, so it's more like chess. But yes, it is just as expensive. You can start playing with way fewer models (and thus less spending of time and money), but you'll buy everything your faction has in the end, so... yeah.

It should fit just fine. You should start playing Warmachine, btw.

Okay, so it seems neither option is completely useless. I'll give them hand weapons and shields then. Thanks for your help, people.

Night Gobbos for a friend - what to arm them with?

Hi folks, I could use some advice from people who play Gobbos. A friend of mine wants to start an army of the green fellows, and as it happens, I do have a box of night goblins that I was going to use for WHRP. Now since I want to give them to her painted - and obviously assembled - I was wondering ...

Actually, as far as I can see, the highlights on the blue stuff, on the staff and the hair are already there, and they are quite good. What could use some more depth is the skin, but it is not completely bad either. Overall, a very nice mini. Do something to the base, though, I can see it is painted...

Whatever a marine is supposed to think or act like, in the context of a novel, it is not a character flaw for a protagonist to have morals. Nor is it a character flaw to be individualistic. Saying things like that were character flaws in a protagonist so he was not a Mary Sue is like saying you were...

@Gree: whether a character is a Mary Sue or not has little to do with whether he always wins a fight. Neither Uriel nor Honzou have character flaws as such. They are always righteous (in the context of their respective causes), honourable and what have you. That is what makes them Mary Sues. I have ...

It is in one of the old Druchii.net Monthlies/Heralds. Click the "Herald Webzine" Button in the top row on this site, then go to the archive. I think it must be from around 2004, but I could be wrong. But it is definitely in there.

I like it a lot. My colour scheme is actually very similar, especially on my COKs (infantry does not have any gold), but mine are the old battle-cow versions. I'd stick with it. Druchii do not have to wear dark colours. Their souls are dark enough to compensate for even the most flashy of colour sch...

While I would really like to see a cool Druchii dragon, I actually do not like this one. Not because of its size, but mainly because of the pose - the dragon looks as though it had just been punched in its stomach - hard. Not a pose I want on my fearsome, terror-causing, evil overlord mount.

From that perspective, the army looks stunning. Any chance to get a few close-ups? Especially of your conversions, they look very interesting, but it is somewhat hard to tell.

I haven't read many of the BL books, but from the few I did read, I would agree with Mr. Anderson. Except I think Mr. McNeill cannot write good stories at all, either.

This idea has often been discussed, I think, but nobody has ever achieved to actually create a seriously funny and working army based on that great movie - until now.

There are werewolves in the Warhammer Roleplay Bestiary. There are two kinds, one being similar to beastmen, the other, however, being descendants of Ulric and a mortal woman, who are said to protect Ulrics people.
