Well I'm skeptical when it comes to bringing Chas Dwarfs back. I'd hate to see the models changed (The hats, just look at the hats!), or to see them as yet another branch of Chaos. I'd love to see a nifty new army book. As for the units, I think that the current list from Ravening Hordes covers most...

The way I see it, Tir-na -Bor's the way to go unless you can find the classic CD minis somewhere; I'd try to achieve this if I were you, as they are really unique (Some of the best of Gw's minis ever), and Dwarves of Tir-na-Bor are quite different. It's surely true that it's hard to collect them now...

Nice list.

There are four things I'd like to see tweaked: assassins, black guard, Cold Ones (no stupidity) and hydras (Regeneration's a nice idea), and one thing I'd like be added: city guard, although I'd never use them anyway.

Maybe there should be a sticky about this, as this has been covered many times.
Let me save your time, angeru. If someone's interested, he or she should visit www.rackham-store.com for the whole miniature line.

Thanks for the information. Judging from the quality of the previous line and descriptions, it seems that they are top-notch paints. I'm very tempted to try them.

I wouldn't bother with GW accessories like varnishes.
Testors Dullcoat is the best varnish available. Try it, and you'll never use any others.

Darthie - Rell is right on what he says, however i wouldn't use a retarder in your case, but actually use a pallette. It's a mandatory tool. Should you squeeze too much paint, you can always use the Vallejo pots to suck it back. The Game Color pallette is very limited, so I advise using Model Color ...

No contest really. They outperform GW by all means, which is better bottle design, better saturation, better density, better paint quality.

It's called drying retarder. Vallejo produces it (number 597 IIRC).

And on topic of oil paints, if you don't have any experience with them, stick to acrylics unless you want to apply a poor paintjob to your SOS... Every type of paint needs practice.

Well, wet blending is fairly common and very easy to learn, but it is of limited use since it cannot be applied everywhere. Normal blending (Feathering and Layering) is the way to go.

A good decision I think, which will change the tactics drastically (poor Necrons, poor IG ), despite the fact that most of the time you probably want to blast the closest enemies, who are usually the most dangerous to you... No more annoying screeners in front of heavy weapons is definitely good new...

Arkeon Sanath (so not Archaon Kithan) is a limited edition miniature from Rackham, the makers of miniatures for Confrontation gaming system. It costs about 10-11 bucks.
