Oddly enough I paint my Dark Elves in almos the exact same way as Lord Khaladin described.
Here's an old picture of a Wtich Elf that I did when I was first testing my color scheme:

I love it. Of course now I'm going to feel a little awkward finishing up my army as I'm using almost the exact same color scheme (my red is a little darker though) and snow bases as well. One thing though........those Witch Elves standing behind your RxBmen........are they just there for show or are...

Well I don't have an update for the Dark Rider as I'm not gonna add more till I can get some chain and wire from the local craft store on Monday. However work was slow today and I thought I'd start testing out ideas for Warriors. After several failed attempts I found what I wanted after looking at o...

Well I did some more work before I go to bed. I apologize for the somewhat blurry pictures and lack of a boardside shot from the leftside of the horse but the batteries in my camera died and I'll have to pick some up from the store tomorrow on my way home from work. Jumping on the Dark Rider bandwagon....
Making Dark Riders out of Glade Rider parts is all the rage now and normally I'm not one to follow the crowd, but the new WE horses are simply beautiful and I had to have some. So after about an hour or so of work the first Dark Rider takes form: CLICK HERE TO VIEW WIP MODEL Right now I'd say this r...

Messing around with bitz....
Well it seems several people are taking advantage of the WE plastics to create Dark Riders and so, after aquiring several bitz from some friends, I've decided to jump on the bandwagon. However even though I've got the bitz to make some Dark Riders I thought I'd experiment with making some Spearmen i...

But a great model, what are the parts you have used? I might have to steal it... He is a Dark Elf Highborn. The conversion is very simple with the parts being Asdrubael Vect's body and throne and Malekith's sword. You can find the parts here: http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?d...

WIP Highborn....
Started converting this guy today. Not exactly sure on the specifics yet. Things like will he stay as is and just be a nice model to paint or whether I'll try to make him usable in games. Just took the pictures different angles: m m If I go the gaming route he'd probably end up being carried by slav...

Well another 3 hours gone by and this is where it's at now: OGRE "MANEATER" <-----LINK I don't know why but the greenstuff always looks 10times better before I photograph it. *sigh* Oh well. Paint will go a long way toward bringing out the detail. @Monarch: Yes I will add some texture to the bottoms...

Ogre "Maneater" for Painting Competition
Hello again. Been quite a while since I posted anything on Druchii.net so I thought I'd throw this out there for your enjoyment. On TWF there's a painting competition which I said I'd enter. Now the deadline is 11:59pm on Tuesday and I'm busting my butt trying to get there. I actually didn't think I...

This model from the Warhmachine: Full Metal range would be great as well (I already have it and plan to use it as either a Sorceress or a Noble).

Cyber's Current Project (WH40K stuff)
Well I haven't posted in a while here so I thought I'd let you guys/gals see what I'm up to. I'm working on a small Space Marine army as I want to get back into WH40K a little bit (been out for 3/4 of the 3rd edition era). The new Codex and artwork are really inspiring so I've come up with my own Ch...

Another Finished Mercenary Sorceress....
Finished my second Sorceress for my new Empire Mercenary army. This time instead of a GW model I used one from the Reaper line (Dark Haven I think). Finished Mercenary Sorceress Might go back and spruce up the base and face a little bit, but overall she's finished. And yes I know that once again she...

A "Finished" Mercenary Sorceress.....
Well, if truth be told it's only finished for now. Why, you ask? Because I'm never 100% satisfied with anything I do. It's a flaw of mine. Probably why I hardly finish any of my models. There's always something I don't like. MERCENARY SORCERESS Still, this one is "done" and ready for gaming. She is ...

No matter how much I paint or work on my units I always end up having more and more to do. I need to finish up my Druchii Anointed, but have put her off to the side as I need to focus on my upcoming army first (the DE Anointed project is just for fun). I put together my first unit tonight. It's a un...

Thanks for the offer Monarch. Those were more or less just the base coats. With the exception of the pink/purple cloth the Anointed is going to look like most of my other Dark Elves (that I really need to get around to finishing up ). As an example I'll show you my color scheme that I painted on a W...
