Re: Blood Bowl DE team
Maybe because it muddies the water with AoS? Or possibly because they've seen the sales for the add-ons for BB and are just playing it cautiously based on how well that extra stuff is selling. Or maybe because their production methods have changed drastically over 20 years, they can only do it for a...

Re: Sorry Aos You have lost me now - Steam Punk Dwarfs WTF
The new AoS Dwarfy things look cool...but ultimately leave me cold. (Also, the practicalities of transporting that stuff seems terrifying) Where's the Squat super-heavy with the massive laser cannon? Now *that* was awesome. The cyclops was cool. http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/NRoAAOSw-YVXlULu/s-l300....

Re: Topic of the Week - Physical rulebooks and you!
I prefer electronic rulebooks these days, even if I still have paper copies. Rules are far more likely to get updated or changed when problems are identified, so really a paper rulebook can just become irrelevant over time. The big PP books tend to have a large chunk of story and flavour in them, so...

Well, that's not fair.
I've been to New Zealand - you can literally relive the Lord of the Rings all day long if you wanted to .
(Although I prefered the subtropical rainforesty bits...What were we talking about?)

Re: What do we want the future of Druchii.net to be?
The problem with that is that, Rork, unless there's a social media outlet I'm not familiar with (highly possible), it doesn't really lend itself well to archival stuff. The treasure trove of info that's built up over time with forums is not something social media can do, and it was my #1 draw to th...

Re: What do we want the future of Druchii.net to be?
It could be argued that a combined facebook page would be the better idea instead of forums completely. Forums are old-fashioned, good for special interests like ours (and a subset of a special interest, which even a combined forum would be)...when social media simply didn't exist. We're the horse t...

OK, that could work. I certainly wasn't suggesting that we unilaterally declare ourselves the bosses of this new all-elven utopia. We're not? Oh...right... we're not . It's worth trying the extreme measures ( is extermination an option? No? Damn. ), and consolidate further what traffic there is. We...

Re: Brexit
I just think there is a sector of the media and among older people that don't realise the world has moved on as much as it has - the British no longer tell other countries what to do and actually have to compromise to work with those nations. This could turn out to be the referendum equivalent of th...

Actually I hope the Scots and Irish will become independent asap and the UK is going to regret their leave. Somehow they clearly find themselves superior to the other EU nations. I switched from WH to Warmachine on the release of AoS. It's a good game that's well written but, despite decades playing Warhammer I just kept on losing for months on end. Re: What do we want the future of Druchii.net to be?
I think the best approach is to start with as few subdivisions as we think can work, and then split forums up later if traffic increases to the point that it's necessary. That's certainly the approach I prefer. We've been cutting back forums over the last few years since we had many that were large...
