If you run them with a Cauldron I would go with the 7X3 and give them Killing Blow against multi-wound or heavy armored opponents or the extra attack (for a total of 4 each) against low toughness, lightly armored opponents.

Whether something is cheesy/overpowered really depends on what type of games/armies you play. For the points though 2 Hydras are very, very hard to beat. RBT's on the other hand IMHO are a bit overpriced. I think most people would prefer to play against 2 RBT's and 1 Hydra. That combo is both tactic...

I believe the entrenchment rule only prohibits bonuses that rely on charging. For hatred to work it only has to be the first combat round.
Anyway Congrats on your noble victory against a very difficult army build.

First off, welcome to Druchii.net. There can never be too many Dreadlords vying for Malekith's favor. Well the one thing I don't like in this list is the Ring of Hotek . I think you will find it is as much of a pain for your magic as it is for your opponent, especially since it is on your master wit...

I prefer Chariots for the smaller frontage, higher toughness and lower points cost. Against a normal sized infantry unit you could easily get two into the front. I usually run two chariots to provide redundancy.

I'm gonna vote No - 2 Hydra Lists are not cheesy. But it really matters what your friends think. The game is about Two people having fun.

I think Dark riders could do with an update and plastic kit. They must be the oldest models still in production and one of the few core units that doesn't come in plastic.

COK's cause fear and by doing so are immune. The only exception is that they will fear Terror causers. Since the ItP banner doesn't negate Stupidity those points may be better spent elsewhere as well.

Fleeing is a tactic that will work well with any army. One advantage Orcs have is that they generally have a lot more units which makes the tactic easier to pull off. Though as a player who has played green through most of 6th edition and some of 7th I have to say good luck. Animosity will keep you ...

The Dark Elf miniatures range is one of the best. The models are the reason I started playing DE in the first place. I think the new minis look pretty good so far. Unit size is entirely dependant on the role you plan for them and the other units in your army. If you plan to use them as a pure anvil unit, size will depend on how well you can screen them from missile fire and how long you expect them to be in combat till the Hammer unit comes. I think that to be...

I think with the small size of your units and the relative frailty of our troops you may do well to find room for at least one dispel scroll. Of course it would help to know if this is to be an "all comers" list or if you have specific armies that you fight. As is it will really struggle a...

I like mine with a mix of fluff and details. Griefbringer's Battle reports are my favorite style. The fluff draws you into the game a little more and there are enough details to see what tactics are being used.
