So the potions (both the shadowblade's and the common magic one) work for "2" turns of hth combat, right? In the French book it is crystal clear: Potion of Strenght works from the beginning of any HtH phase until one player's turn begins. Same for Shadowblade (with almost same wording). S...

I cannot concur with your statements: - I've found so far only excellent quality in any GW army book translated into French (I...

I am convinced that one of the most powerful use for CoB is to have a khainite army (everyone becomes stubborn) except one single über unit. Exactly like your list, where you take advantage of Crone Hellebron to make it as purely Khainite as possible (WE as core troops). In your list, there remains ...

Q. Lokhir goes with the heavy armour in bestiary, plus its obvious he's wearing armour, but his armor is not in the army list. It is probably safe to assume he wears the heavy armor. Lokhir's secret

Very nice thread.
It is already included in the D.R.A.I.C.H.

Furthermore you can't choose to put characters in the back rank. They can only end up there if they are A) Skaven or B) refusing a challenge. And characters (other than Skaven) can't do jack from the back row. Basic Rule Book stipulation. It just says, "You can't cast if you're not in the fron...

It cannot move inside a building either.

Spears or 2weapons-corsairs? Spears are more HtH defensive as they strike back in two rows with spears OR benefit from their shield for a 4+armor save. Corsairs are more HtH offensive with their 2 freinzied attacks but only 5+save, and they are more resistant to missiles with 4+save compared to 5+sa...

Killing a character with Killing Blow, in my opinion is not the same as reducing the character's wounds to 0. How is is different to losing all your wounds? The rulebook states that if a character has lost all its wounds or strength/toughness are reduced to 0, it is removed as casualty. It does not...

P.61: when you cast such a spell on a monster with rider, if the spell area covers completely the monster, then both are affected; if the monster is partially covered by the spell area, each is hit sperately (you roll separately, 4+ = hit). Nothing in RAW allows the monster to take its rider's chara...

I've noticed that the new books are starting to not include DoW as a Rare Option anymore. HE, O&G, etc. None of the newly done ones have DoW in them anymore. I've been probing at this for a while with a guy down in Toronto, and I've come to the conclusion that before they make 8th edition, they...

Corsairs with rhb do have a role. Facing light cav such as pistoliers or agile skirmishers such as skinks, corsairs with rhb can be nice escorts. Light cav positions themselves on your side, out of charge LOS? No problem, move your corsairs, orientate towards fast cav and bolt them away. This cannot...

I meant that corrsairs can move 10" and then shoot 8" away since they don't have any movement penaltys. Oh wait, can they only move 5" on the turn they shoot? Anyway, that's still 13" range. They can EITHER move 10" (double move => no shooting) 0R move 5" and shoot wit...

RHB are interesting in some specific situations.

I use all the time Metal when I play Empire.
Everything shoots at 24".
It is by far the best lore against heavily armored opponents, i.e. Brettonnian, Empire, and Dwarf (who happen to be my main opponents).

Against lightlier armoured ones, however, I'd rather take Fire.
