I have to agree with Linda on her points, I have found that WS and I is actually quite useful against a front line of enemy that cannot fight in ranks. I usually manage to kill at least 1 or 2 enemy before he gets to hit back. Then if the DE WS is higher I benefit again. It works out, you should tr...

Personally, I find that for the same points a Knights is far superior to a unit of executioners, more speed, more armour, more attacks, fear.... overall a better deal. The downside ofcourse being stupidity, but I can live with that. Fallen Angel Yes but not quite the same cost for 10 execs, unless ...

Yes it does, as you will not always break a unit on the charge. Witch Elves still keep up a good fight, when they do not break the enemy. Executioners just die in that case. Bye Thanee Thats why I use them in small groups of 10 as flankers in combo with spears/corsairs for destroying tough units, a...

As my name implies, I'm a big fan of them too. When you are building an army around them consider taking an assassin inside the unit (large block of 20+) and screening them with harpies and terrain. Dark riders and shades help them quite a bit too. How can you resist the models? A sorceress you can...

Who cares how much people post, I don't even understand why we have rankings really?

If someone hasn't logged on for a year, just erase their account, if you are worried about too long a member list.

They are great for flank attacks, always taken them in units of 10. When they are a unit of 20 my opponents targets them with artillery or missile fire. I guess they look scary, or perhaps they know the exec's weak save. Remember against serious artillery, everything dies, no matter what armour they...

Like every unit they have their place. I use them against T3 troops where they function quite nicely.

For example against goblins I have killed more then 30 with 10 rxb before they moved close enough for an attack.

There are some armies they are no good against, obviously. Know your enemy.

I get your point, Baron. Some armies like the Chaos I can stand because they have certain weaknesses, and at least I can usually outnumber them. I don't know, when I see a Steamtank I get nervous. Some things I shake my head at. I can win a number of games to keep me happy, but if something ever goe...

Whaledawg, there are "a$$holes" and "mature a$$holes". Other than in the physician sense, I have never met a mature A$$hole. icon_cry.gif So I take it you've seen alot of a$$holes langman? I would think that you would have to have to know the difference between a mature one and a regular one. I'd b...

The new Beastman list is extremely scary. Especially since it will be one army combined with the Hordes of Chaos list. Ouch! The horde rules are a little over the top, if you ask me. All the benefits of skirmishers AND regiments combined! Bye Thanee Agree, saw the rules the other day. M5 + 360' cha...

Sorcerors are an example of a character that doesn't fight well in HtH, but has other obvious uses. I don't necessarily think that the BM not actually getting into HtH is not classed as fighting, he fights, as I said, using the animals as his weapons and armour. I like the idea of a magic whip. Perh...

Thanee, your ideas are always VERY good, always well thought out. You know this game well and seem to be an expert strategist. I have read your ideas on the BM. They are good, but for some reason, perhaps its just me, I don't think the BM should be S4 and be used in HtH combat. As I said I think nob...

While I agree with druchii being made better and more detailed, slaves for some reason do not make sense to me. The druchii are supposed to be a fast overland raiding army. Thinking beyond the 6'x4' board, slaves would seriously slow the druchii down as they would require constant supervision, gener...

I want to see the druchii improved. I am supportive of any ideas about improving them, including people's suggestions. The idea of druchii using slaves doesn't appeal to me based upon what the druchii are supposed to be: a fast overland raiding army. Lets think beyond the 6'x4' board for a moment. S...

I think the work of the Beastmasters should already be included in the beasts stats and abilities. How should a Beastmaster be able to make a Dragon more resilient anyways? Hmm... Read your army book lately? Lord Yeurl??? Yes. Again if you read it again you will see that Yeurl doesn't want to kill the slaves as it means he will lose money, but he has no problems killing them to save his own skin! So I stick with my guns and say that DE wouldn't waste valueable slaves as cann...

Great against lizardmen and orcs rank and file troops, with manbane of course. That is the only time I would ever use them. A real shame they can't accompany shades... Agree with shades. Don't forget that it's all relative worth. O&G have the same with their Giant, IE it's cheaper for better stats than our Hydra... but its all relative worth and a lot of their other troops (even trolls) suck compared to ours, hell a Hydra kicks ass over trolls. I don't like to hear people say w...
