i was thinking that the dark riders, harpies and noble go off as a group then the 2 chariots, 2 squads and executioners go off as another flanking group while the sorceress's and bolt thrower hack things to bits. I don't know how you think you're going to get chariots to go flanking. With stupidity...

Where I am, I can get a corsairs blister for $7-8 and no matter where I look, DR blister costs $10. Might be different where you are but for a core choice that seems anoying. Got a good deal on ebay though. 24 DR +20 corsairs and quite a few shades for $240  . I'm happy.

The big problem with plastics is they lose the details. Try comparing the common warriors with COKs and Corsairs. The plastics just wouldn't look as good. My opinion is now slightly bias since I have all the DE miniatures I will ever nedd (and then some ). I voted DR for plastics since they are quit...

Tips for killing Asur: 1) include Witch Elves in your army. They will decimate their infantry. 2) Dark Riders are essential. You need somehting fast to balance the mobility of the enemy force. Almost all his cavalry has M9 so you need to be just as fast. Equip them with RXBs and have fun skewering v...

You wouldn't need to set up a forum, just post your battle reports on the GW site. Its a good idea BTW. There is a reason Gav wouldn't listen though. DE are a tough army filled with players that are not as tough. The people I'm talking about are the ones who complain about armour saves and low S and...

If you ablsolutely will not use red blue or black, you may have a problem getting a colour scheme that supports Druchii style. Look at people's symbol thingys (I hope you know what I mean: mines red). Most are blue read and or black. BTW, green can be very evil, but you're likely stuck doing the arm...

Black Guard make interesting torsos so take a look at them. For really simple conversion, you could just take a head from a shade and stick it on the command COK. As said, the Ex body is also good to use and allows for the great weapon, but some of the best come from corsair torsos.

You know, I have noticed the blade at the end of the crossbow. I rather like the idea since it makes them look more vicious. I always thought of them as bayonets (or something similar) and that concept works in my mind. Stick him in the belly and shoot him in the face.

If you want fast and hard hitting, both the COC and RXBmen won't cut it. Both are defensive weapons really and fit better with a defensive force. The COC can be used to support infantry in a counter strike though. Think about the Ex if you really want the hard hitters. S5 and killing blow really hur...

Considering that the dungeons below Karond Kar are supposed to contain at least one of every type of monster in the warhammer world, the Baron's idea seems quite good.

I fing that giving a sorceress the seal of ghrond is normally a good bet. Risks of them getting killed are lower than when giving it to a highborn or noble. I neve equip a high sorceress with a scroll. It just seems demeaning to do it. Depending on how luchy you feel, the soulstone is good and somet...

Note that the basic Ld is for the unit that is stubbron and if they are using the general's Ld (for some reason) that Ld is modified as usual.
It is correct that Destroyer only destroys magic weapons and armour (100% certain and confirmed in writing).

Usually I go with the standard 2 units of 5 with RXBs and musician. However, this may all soon change as I have started work on painting even more of the Druchii horsemen. Soon I will be able to field about 30 of them!

My general is equipped based on his/her role and position. Assuming the general is not a sorceress, I usually equip him with about 100 pts of stuff. Its silly really, but that's the way I do it. If he's mounted on a monster (say manticore), I give him the armour of darkness (or blood armour dependin...

In all technicality, I would say no for killing blow after poison. There really is no roll to wound to make. If you look at it in a logical sense, the enemy model has been poisoned. This does not happen if he loses his head. When a 6 is rolled it means something very specific has happend. A wound ca...

I always find one of the Druchii strengths in small games is the huge number of monsters we can field. Contrary to popular belief, I'd keep the manticore and drop the reapers in favour of a hydra. I'd also drop the sorceress and COC in favour of COK. With that much fear causing hitting power, your o...

I'd say it really depends on what you'd replace them with. Small games I go without in favour of a hydra. RBTs are so valuable due to 48" range at S6 hittiing on 4+. They're great for so many things, not to mention elimination of enemy artillery. If you go without them you have to put something in t...

I think the absolute worst bit of name taking was Albion. Can't say I'm surprised since its one of the old words for Britain and look where they put it: right there where good ol England should be (and Wales and Scotland). Other favorites include the Kingdom of Ind where India should be, the jungles...
