Re: What do we want the future of Druchii.net to be?
Personally I would like to see us remain loyal to Dark Elves (in whatever reincarnation that might be, across all game systems) We do not have to be everything to everybody, and while I can see the benefit with a combined P&M having more traffic I think we loose to much of what makes us unique ...

Re: What do we want the future of Druchii.net to be?
It should be a broad church. There's no reason why each game cannot its own forum. The more active areas might gather some more subforums than the less active, but there should be room for all while the demand exists. Discussion and army lists (as a subforum) for each group of elves would be as much...

Re: Orruks.....
I love some art deco design...but for the Stormcast stuff it does get a little lost among all the traditional plate armour (and probably not enough contrast on the metallic art deco sunbursts).

Re: Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower cover art
Inserting a Sigmarine into WHQ while the rest of the cast remains largely unchanged makes me think this could just be a rip-off of the plot of Toy Story.

Re: New play modes for AoS incoming
I doubt it'll get me playing the game again because, as others have said, the fluff was destroyed. But at least I have the comforting feeling of having the possibility of a balanced pick-up game at a GW if I ever feel like digging out my Beastmen or gobbos. Even my interest in Fantasy has largely g...

Re: Orruks.....
True, the yellow colour scheme does a great disservice to the models. What the hell were they thinking? I'm interested to see how they look with well-painted metallic armour instead of all those bright colours. Should make their green skin pop more as well. Perhaps it's the Space Marine effect - yo...

Re: JE SUIS CHARLIE
I find it hard to think of the terrorists as cowards . They're evil, twisted, hate-filled sacks of excrement, but I think carrying out a suicide attack does demand a certain courage. I guess it's as good a reminder as any that courage in the service of evil is no virtue. I suppose it's down to the ...

Re: Next AoS release
'Fulminators'? They really are scraping the bottom of the thesaurus bucket, aren't they? I think they've gone through literally every single word in the English language that relates to storms, lightning, thunder, etc. It's still a fraction more original than PP, who tend to just call stuff "S...

Re: Asrai, Ulthuan and Druchii websites
TBH, I'm not fussed which set of rules people use to push their models around. It could get a little awkward though with some pushing their ideas/ rules while others prefer regular GW vanilla, no? The beautiful thing about being a moderator is that if someone gets pushy, you can push right back...a...

Re: Asrai, Ulthuan and Druchii websites
What I think will be a problem is certain posters on Ulthuan want to promote non-GW games. How that meshes with trying to move forward in a new AoS world I don't know. I don't see an issue with having areas for different games. They don't have to dominant but, let's face it, a lot of people have mo...

Re: Topic of the Week - Real-world history in Fantasy
I think where GW have really fallen down here is in totally wiping out 30 years of canonical lore in favour of a new system. Maybe AoS will be a success or maybe it won't, but since you can use existing models within AoS anyway, there appears to be no real need to ditch all the old fluff (and the v...

Re: Topic of the Week - Real-world history in Fantasy
It's been interesting for me to read the background of the Iron Kingdoms (Warmachine, sportsfans) since jumping ship from GW. PP doesn't really win massively on the originality stakes, they borrow ideas from stock fantasy, medieval history and even contemporary/recent history (and then stirred in a ...

12? Pfft, Noob . I've got to admit that the paint renaming shenanigans was one change that was needlessly annoying. I think GW paints are decent compared to anything else (and I've used a few ranges now after branching out into WM/H) and I definitely like using their washes compared to traditional i...

Re: Un-Welcome to the Age of Sigmar
Apparently gamers are only 20% of their market and collectors are the other 80, so it's not important what the gamers think. This immediately brings up the questions why you would change the game if it's not the selling point in the first place... The original article has all the juicy details, dub...
