Forum: Rules Questions & Ideas   Topic: Cauldron of Blood Moves?

It works just as a warmachine. Warmachines can be moved by the crew, but never march. If parts of the crew dies, the movement rate is reduces with it. A war machine that moves in a turn cannot shoot. The good thing about the Cauldron is that it does not shoot, so you never have to worry 'bout that. ...

As far as I know, one is only allowed to shoot once (i.e. use one missile weapon) in each shooting phase. There is nothing in the rules that would stop you from getting a hand weapon, additional hand weapon, lance, handbow and a great weapon all at the same character. You just can't use them all in ...

Thanee mentioned a very good thing there. Unlike magical close combat weapons, one is not forced to use the Toxin. Even if the intention is that he should benefit from both, the rules as written says that if he uses Toxins, he won't count as poisoned. But it also says that Dark Venom is optional to ...

As with all war machines, it doesn't have a base. The crew, which are killable, have bases (three 20mm bases). The bottom of the Cauldron is roughly 40x80mm though.

Also, to make more than one unit gain Killing Blow at the same time, you'd need more Cauldrons. To have both Black Guard, Corsairs and the master on Pegaus, you'd need three Cauldrons of Blood.

The models are among the better of 6th edition plastic. Before GW invested in their new high-definition sculptor machinery. Compared to the 7th edition plastics, they're not great. But they're certainly not bad either.

Could perhaps also be good to tip users about what to do when a double-post has appeared. As long as no one has replied to your post, you have the ability to delete one of the two posts. If someone has replied, you could notify a moderator or administrator through PM, or the report button (I'm not 1...

SilverHeindall is correct.
Note however that the Hydra Beastmasters have hand weapon and the beastmaster's scourge - which counts as a hand weapon. These together counts as addiitonal hand weapon and thus grants a beastmaster 3 attacks each. It's oddly worded, but it's how it's designed.

Thanee, I would agree if it wasn't for the word "always" in the Manbane rules, the intentions from the designers, and the Dwarf slayers :) Also, Rending Stars were designed as "user's base strength +1", but the word "base" was mysteriously missing in the final edit of t...

Assasin strength: 4
Rending stars adds +1. That's 5.
If 5 isn't wounding on 3+ or better, the Manbane will bump it to str6.

Of all of you who say manbane is added first, where do you get that fact from?

yeah, I like Shades too, but they're pricy as hell, and special. I also need a safe place for my Supreme Sorc to hide. She can't join the Khainite units, and I don't feel easy with having her in a combat unit without an assassin.

From a fluffy perspective, I think the Hag should be a hero, and taking her would affect the units available to your army. Taking her would perhaps move Witches to core, or something similar. Perhaps even make something about the Cauldron of Blood. A hero seems fitting, as I doubt they'd let a large...
