For good or ill, T9A sucks up all T9A discussion onto their own boards. T9A forum is very active indeed. Where fate is not sealed is whether we succeed to define what is the added value of D.net. Tactical archives have been mentioned. I would imagine that the atmosphere is an added value too, where...

Not playing anymore 8th. What is useful depends on the meta, i.e. the usual troops brought by your usual opponents. The D.R.A.I.C.H. should lead you to answers to your questions. D.R.A.I.C.H. - The Druchii Art of War 8th ed. IIRC, BG are good to play 2x7, while AHW corsairs are much better 5x4. RHB ...
