sorry to say it but the lance is just useless as you must always use the magical close combat weapon. so you can never use the lance

I think the big problem with the Skaven list is, that Clan Rats are underpriced. They are, for example, better than Empire Swordsmen (only their WS is 1 point lower, but they have better M and effective Ld) but cost 2 points less.
