Unfortunately, the city garrison list, if I remember correctly, will allow only a single sorceress of no higher than level 2. True, but she does have three attacks. If you are looking for a 1500pt magic list you may as well just bang Morathi in and make a 2k list. She is the bomb when it comes to d...

Best way I have found, as a man who has a snow based Druchii army is to mix Baking Soda with water and PVA. Its damned cheap, the texture is ace and it just loooks fab. For sxtra goodness paint the area beneath the snow white and apply multiple thick layers. The problem with the GW snow is its a com...

I remember writing a rather long article on why dark riders are crapola, admitidly I came to some wrong conclusions, but I remain adamant that Dark Riders are weak. But that was a slightly different idea. They are poor in combat and high in cost and easy to kill. I want silverhelms. Whats the best f...

Ant: Good to see you buddy. I know what you are saying. It was a problem you had, and one I am quite aware of. It is small, and if the enemy has enough magic or shooting they can really whittle it down till it doesn't show up on the table. But when you have a 1000pts in characters and are playing wi...

The BSB is an interesting little character. He divides opinion too, when and if discussion about him pops up. The thing is that because most druchii armies do not fight a straightforward bash it out in lines type of battle, and frequently only use infantry to limited roles the need for the BSB re-ro...

First thing to be said is why 12 warriors? they can't claim two ranks and they can't kill anything. So why the investment in the two extra models for each of the three units?

Amarel: With your Combo you would have had a 6+ save and 4+ Ward as opposed to just a 4+ Save, which isn't a big deal, but would have been wounding on 3s not 2s which does make a difference. Which statistically means you are going to take 3 rounds on average to kill the big tree, where as the gauntl...

Does that give me any form of golden star or bonus point?
I reckon it does.

But see, thats what I mean. I completely forgot about the usefulness of magic attacks too. It sure helps against woodies, and with so many woodies around taking magic attacks is a seriously wise idea.

Rob. Whilst I appreciate the sentiment I am motivated by unorthodox lists and lists that inspire tactical discussion of vallidity to the D.net community in cases where I am not going to play with the list. And whilst Khorne offers some interesting possibilities I don't think the under unit of death ...

Hi all! So, following on from some cross-site snooping I discovered a woody army comprised solely of Eternal guard. It was meant to be a massive Phalanx thingy. And I really liked it. And it got me thinking about massive units. I made a few lists. Made a Druchii one that was quite good, but then I s...

Kurlan, good to "see" you again. Firstly on the subject of tournies. To be honest I only have one planned, that being Tanelorn, 'cos I can go from my own little house and its a fairly small investment, and I am sure people I know will be in attendance. Pompey and that would be nice. But I ...

KidA: Oh they can. Thats handy. Yes. I think swap the mark to the Reapers from the Riders. Cunning plan. As for 5+2 6+1. I can never be sure. I know 5 dice is far better then four. But I can't be sure over that 6th dice. The way I see it is that I need the uptight defense early, before the Boob Nobl...

You can have them on Chariots or Wyverns. I think you should have one on a wyvern. It makes tem really very hard in...

Albion not scottish. Its druid. Its more like the island of Anglesea (SP?) durring roman invasion if you want to be really specific. @Fingol: The location of Ulthuan is further evidence of it being Briton, or rather an English patriots inflated version of theBritish isles. You will also note Atlanti...

Albion is based on England to some extent, but so is Ulthuan - originally. The whole elf thing is a bit British Empirey and very much ties in with the two Warhammer inventor's own patriotism. The Asur are like the British, a superior and noble race (not saying its true, but so the story goes). Like ...

Do you mean 11pts under or over? If over loose the Devoted's Champ or banner or even just a devoted as the Annointed now takes up two spaces. If under buy Speed of Slannesh for the Devoted's Champ or a muso for the Knights, or marks for the reapers. I do like this new version of the list alot. I do ...

KidA, thanks, that was helpful. Only it sort of illustrates hat I was thinkning. That everything in your list does the killing apart from the Devoted which do seem to be out of place. Looks grande, as always mate. As its WIP one can't be sure what you plan to work on more and what you don't. But the areas that strike me as needing more work are mainly the head and tail, but also the fur on his back, which seems a bit weird with a completely smooth head. The horns are my biggest a...
