My name is Will. I've played Warhammer Fantasy in the past and amassed quite a Dwarf army. But it's been collecting dust for years.

It's only been recently that I've been into the game again, and I've always been fascinated by the Dark Elves. I'm writing some Warhammer fiction and collecting a Dark Elf army. I've been reading about Malus Darkblade and I'm hooked.

I'm so pleased to have encountered this forum.

G'day guys, I am Grant, used to play 40k with a reasonable blood angels army about 3 editions and 10 years ago.

Just recently my flatmate bought himself the battle for skull pass box set and I thought, well its time to be interested. Anyway, i scanned all the races and thought the Dark Elves would be a satisfying direction to try.

Since then we have played about 10 little battles on the kitchen table using the grey models, a few are painted, but he bought himself a few vampire counts aswell, which is the likely direction. Anyway, we play messy, find the rules later that we missed and try and fix it for next time.

I have been scanning this forum for details and tactics somewhat for probably 2 months now, anyway, its a good time and hopefully when i have more time I can come in and add some thoughts and pieces to the total body of work in here

Hi guys. I originally joined this site back in '06...the year I got run over by a car. It's been a long road. Anyway, I'm back into gaming these days and so back here again.

I've collected Druchii since 3e...they were my first and still are my absolute favorite army. I started in '86 or thereabouts.

Just wanted to say hi.

Hey All!
Well I started playing the Druchii back in 4th ed back when I was 16 (now 27) and since that time I've amassed almost 7,000 pts of my evil Druchii.
I've never even thought about collecting another army simply because the Dark Elves are awesome!
Gameplay, models, fluff, it's just so friken cool!
Oh, and I just LOVE smashing those puncy Hight Elves!
Thanks All!

Good luck to you then.

Hello everyone, I'm Chris and I'm a GW addict.

I was born in the Great Border City, or Carlisle as its more often known, and did the whole school, first job, first girlfriend thing there. Worked in Argos, Trespass and for five months I had the best job in the world at that time for me - I was a GW staff member. I loved working in GW Carlisle, but unfortunately the real world was calling to me and I had to go to University, to hide from the real world for the next four to seven years.

I first got into the hobby when I was eleven and some schoolmates of mine told be about 'Warhammer' and that I should play something called Bretonnians as they wore lots of armour. They then took me to GW Carlisle, which I'd passed many times but never been in. I got Ravening Hordes, the giant black and white poster catalogue they did and a box of Bretonnian Bowmen. I've been hooked ever since.

Nine years on and I can't paint that much better, my attention span for an army is about as weak as ever and I keep having mental ideas. Although I occasionally go into GW Aberdeen, for I am at the University of Aberdeen, its not the same as GW Carlisle where I know everyone, and everything that's going on.

Currently I'm studying for a History degree, which I then hope to pursue through to a PhD, hopefully specialising in either Byzantium or Viking Scandinavia. If I could, I'd do both, but I think I'd go mad doing all the work for them. Ultimate goal currently is to become a lecturer, and ramble on about Byzantines and Vikings at people whilst getting paid for it.

And he will make the face of Heaven so fine;
That all the world will fall in Love with the night;
And pay no worship to the Garish sun." - Romeo and Juliet.

Hey guys, I' m David Glerum, 22 and live in Holland (anyone wants a game PM me! Need new opponents!)
Only started WH 2 years ago, became an addiction, whittled it down to an obsession :) As we speak my DE are in the mail.
I have 2.5K stunties and about 2K WE.
Til i bought Malus' Chronicles didnt know much about DE.
Now i can see why they are the true master race.
As a tribute, i still got some unpainted wardancers and slayers, without weapons, in manacles, they will make awesome slaves for the sacrificial dagger! :)

Greetings from the Perverted One

Post by Disciple of nagash »

A quick hi all!

Some of you may already know me from Carpe Noctem, where I am the perverted Admin :P

Our of all the elves, the only ones I actually like are the DE. Unfortunately I can't describe how I feel about HE & WE without breaking forum rules.

So I hope to speak to you all in the forums.

Cheers

Disciple of Nagash.

Take care, lest your protests grow tiresome. I have asked for so little! Anyone would think that I have asked you to sacrifice yourselves and your sons! And yet, in [s]Slaanesh's[/s] The Perverted One's boundless and pleasing mercy, I have asked only for your daughters. Surely you would not deny me my small enjoyments?

Hey,

So I've already posted a bit without noticing this intro thread (how rude!).

Name's Max, live in Australia a bit north of Sydney.

Been painting about 10 or so years - love it, so I'll prob spend most of my time in painting a modelling forum. Been gaming (40K) for about 4 years with a Dark Angels army (around 1500 pts).

Never played Warhammer and was keen to start a new army collection. After checking out all the WH armies I liked the Dark Elves most, so now i've decided to spend the next little while slowly building a DE collection (just started with a box of corsairs).

That's all for now.

I'm Dale. I'm 26 from Melbourne, Australia. My experience with Warhammer is limited and half the reason I decided to collect Dark Elves was because my girlfriend wants a Hydra. Got the battalion box set today so there's no turning back now. Besides, I found the goblin and dwarf armies in skull pass to be boring (and I screwed up the paint jobs on them).

Ooh, didn't spot this thread until now :)

My name is Adam, although everyone that knows me calls me Monkey for no known reason o_o

Been in the hobby for about 11-12 years now. I play Lizardmen and Vampire Counts, and recently started Dark Elves - best army i've ever used. I really like this site because everyone is so chilled out and friendly here - you all rock! :)

Robert Tedders here from Ireland. Play Empire, re-starting Space Marines and have an Ork army that should really get a game soon... Been playing G.W for about 3-4 years actively, but been collecting longer than that.

Rork edit: We now have the Introductions forum for this.

NK.
