Hi, I just registered after lurking for about a week, and this looks like the perfect place for a first post. My real name is Dennis, I'm a 23 year old student, and I live in the Netherlands.

I started playing WHFB again a few weeks ago, after a hiatus of about 10 years. I had the box with Bretonnians and Lizardmen, and some Wood Elves back in those days. I even had some Dark Eldar as well. Then I quit Warhammer because my addiction to Magic the Gathering took all of my money and time, now I've quit MtG I can play WHFB again. I've picked up a regiment of Dark Elf Warriors and some Sorceresses, ready to start a real army!

I enjoy the painting and modelling process more than the gaming, I think. I've played only 1 or 2 games in a distant past, and that was my Fantasy against my brother's 40k.. Still, now I'm trying to get to a 500 or 1,000 points Dark Elf army within a couple of months, so I can get some games in.

I just realised I never introduced myself in here.

I'm from North Staffordshire. I used to play 40k when I was younger, and have a sizable Ork army. I was going to get into WFB, and collect a Dark Elf army, but then Games Workshop raised their prices a couple of times in a year, and I couldn't afford it. So I stopped playing/collecting when I was 14/15. I tried to get into it when I started Uni, and got a few army books, but, again, I could really afford it.

Now, I'm 24 and thought I'd start it up again. I'm starting an army of Dark Elves, and also probably a space wolf, and a general collection of LOTR as I come round to it.

At the moment, I mostly paint, though I do plan toplay when I have a small army painted up.

Meanwhile, if anyone wants a quick and fast 2nd edition space ork army (as well as rules, etc), I'd be willing to sell so that I can buy the bulk of my army.

hi
my name is andy, and im a 17 year old student in Auckland New Zealand, where people think there are still cattle / sheep running loose... which is not entirely true!
always had a soft spot for warhammer fantasy, though never had the money to realise my dark elf army. A few years ago i tried, and now i have some 20 poorly painted models and very, very dry paints. Found this forum and now im slowly getting into the hobby, and my raiders will be plundering the world in no time... actually, its more like no time for an elf, and a long time for me, because i still need to save money to get more models, then paint... heh, maybe some time next year?

Well. I am Nico Keith. OR my full name... Nicholas Bevilaqua-Keith. Just first and last. I reside in Laguna Beach, California. And if you watch the dumb show, don't. It's all lies!!!!!

I've been playing for almost a year now, and have only used Dark Elves, and I'm now just getting into Dogs of War.

Neil White, A Born Kiwi in Living in Oz, and gainfully employed too! At the moment I'm not yet a Druchii player, just gathering troops and info. I have enough models to do 3000 pts CoS - dang it adds up quick - or perhaps 2000 vanilla. Not a one painted, going thru a most constipated conversion process. Also about 3500 pts Empire. Still playing Empire, no choice but forfeit until the league ends!

Arnold Layne is the name of the title character in a Pink Floyd song, who is a sponge and a thief. A random choice, more or less.

Hi, my name is Diego Gisbert, from Alcoy, Spain, I´m 27 now and I´ve been playing WHFB for about 10 years now, and WF40K for some years before I simply had no one to play with. I´ve used Bretts, Chaos, DoW and now Druchii, these for the last 6-7 years, and I have more or less 10k, and some Space Marines, perhaps a 2K army, not much (they look to cool to be sold simply because I don´t use them).

Hello all!

My name's Maurice van Valen and I live in the Netherlands. 32 years old.

Used to play Dwarfs over 10 years ago, but I didn't hammer a war after a change in my life's activities and environment. Just trying to pick it up now, but Dwarfs don't cut it for me anymore. I wanted a more evil and manoeuvrable army, so I couldn't resit Malekith's beckoning... Let's see if I can make it of this altar and into the ranks...

I have some 1500 pts painted (mostly) and some models still in the box.

I hope to spend some quality time on this forum, and so far it's working!

Name's Petter, a long timemember of the community who left in January 2006 to return a week ago to haunt you all again. Ex-mod of the site (Trades and Lesser Races Disc.) and Head Editor for what was then the Druchii.net Monthly, working with Z'Gahn, Anaryin, Iyagd, Voodoomaster, darkprincess and MDK. Ahh.. the good ol' days...

I also helped out in the Flesh & Blood campaign we held here in Druchii.net, and some may remember me from the three Asur.org.uk campaigns where I led the Druchii forces to a victory in the first one, led them half-way in the second and kicked some serious behind with the Wood Elves in the third. You may have seen me leading the Forces of Light in Langmann's big intersite campaign; the Twilight War. If not, you may have seen me as one of the two admins of the Warvault Webring. Or as the owner and admin of Asrai.org.
Or you may not have seen me at all... Until now!

Currently live in Stockholm as well as Nynäshamn, in Sweden. I am old enough to know better, but young enough to not give a damn! ;) I work (currently) as a plumber - but my passion lies with computers (web design) and physics/maths, which is what I will study when fall arrives. In a few years, I shall be known as Nagathi, a Weapon of Math Instruction! :D

I've been in the hobby for 7 years, collected 2k points of O&G as my first army (when only Empire O&G and Dawi were released for 6th edition). Later sold that bunch to GrogsnotPowwabomba as my heart had found a new and better army: The Dark Elves. Played them, a lot (got me some 8k pts worth of models if you include all characters - but only got 2250pts of it into a unified army theme), until the Wood Elves were released. Found no good Wood Elf site like Druchii.net, so I created my own, which later evolved into what today is Asrai.org.

Hellu, fellas!

My name is Peter (Good name in any language) and I got sucked into this hobby via the Puffin Bookclub around 25 years ago (Fighting Fantasy - Forest of Doom).

I played up to 3rd ed, had a 9 year break and got back into the hobby mid 6th. I have always played dark elves and regard them a little like some individuals regard their footie team. I love them even if they are a bit crap and let me down from time to time.

I am a Warehouse management system specialist and i work for a multinational logistics company. Basically that means I can translate "sod off Im not doing that" into 25 different languages and am entirely responsible for the lack of Wii's this Christmas. I am also married and by the middle of next year I will have 3 kids.

If I ever appear a bit grumpy or pessemistic in forums dont worry, Im really a very happy chappy and good laugh/sport on the table.

Thats me, Who's next?

@Nag, you forgot to mention that people might've seen you in the chats :) But welcome back anyway.

@Venkh, 25 languages? Now that's impressive. And such a useful thing to be able to say :D

Hi everybody, :)
I've been member of the site for 4 years now! and I think I should have introduced myself.

My real name is Christo Kokalari I'm from Greece(Athens). Right now I'm on 4th year university in the mathematics department and hopefully gaining a specialization and latter a further degree in statistics and business research.

I've been introduced to the hobby almost 4 years ago by a veteran friend of mine(He used to play undead before separating into tomb kings-vampire counts) Loved dark elves from the first day I saw their miniatures and fluff and still gathering them and trying to make with them an opposing battle force.

Happy new year's day!

Chris.

Initially i didn't even notice this topic and thus haven't introduced myself (there were so many other cool things in the site to look at). But late is better than never.

My name is Sergei Lakissov. I live in Tallinn, Estonia. I am 23. single, no kinds. I work in a hedge fund and deal with direct investments. My education is economics with an emphasis on finance. I also always liked math.

I got into the hobby in summer 2006, but had considered this for a long time (since the time when I once played with my friend's Bretonnians somewhere around 2004).

I chose Druchii because I wanted an army which is challenging to play. Currently I have around 3000 points worth of assembled models, and around another thousand points unassembled. At the moment, I am having a break from playing the game, because I want to get my army painted first (at least 2000 points). I hope to be through with this by the end of February and then kick some Asur butt.

Ahh, out of the annonymous shadow life. I'm Jonas.

I live the life of a 32 year old man in Denmark with my girlfriend and our 3 children. This life includes a serious job, thinking serious thoughts and doing serious conversations with people in serious trouble.
To me Warhammer is a tiny break from this, as I tend to fall asleep while watching T.V. in the evenings....

Inside of me rests this alter ego, Hidaus Morbusa, a fierce Druchii general I invented more than four years ago, as I returned to the hobby after years in absence (first rulebook was 3rd edition).

As some of the other old men...and women...around here I don't have the time to paint and play that much. Basically it has taken me more than 3 years to change my everlasting failures on the battlefield with my beloved DE army (I count approx. 5000 points -a lot painted!) to a still growing number of victories. Yes, young people and beginners, it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll. Especially with the Druchii.

So on this long and hard road I've made comfort in collecting Ogres as well and also, of course, the Cult. And some VAmpires...and some Chaos. Always Fantasy. Never 40k.

I like all the aspects of the our hobby. Gaming, painting and modelling, inventing weird fluff background stories. I'm not a huge fan of the more competetive side of the game. Hey, it's fun, and we are playing with small green boogeymen giving them silly names, spending countless hours to paint them and pretend we do magic and by the way, Harry P. sucks.

Anyway, Druchii was my first Warhammer army. I don't have to explain why. They simply rule.

@ Budgie where in ME?

My Name is Pete (Peter Wells) I am currently in Portsmouth New Hampshire and Play with the local Gamming club at Elite Hobbies in Dover New Hampshire. (USA btw)

I am un the US Navy as an HM2 (Non Commisioned Officer inthe medical field). So I move A lot. Like many Sailors I was attracted tot his Hobbie right after Boot Camp when I went to the Gurnee Mills Mall in Great Lakes Illinois and saw the GW store there. After a few months of painfull Resistance I caved in and bout some basic acrylic paints form Walmart and went ot GW... Bout a Savage orc Boar Boy command blister, 2 Blisters of Savage orcs and a Blister of Night Goblin Netters... and My warband Began.

In Norfolk Virginia I played at World's Best COmics a few times and tried to get itnot the flow at Atlantis comics down there but they lack a decent Fantasy community and I was stuck with only a couple battles in that 4 years. So in Many ways I am both Old and New to WHFB... very active 5-7 years ago in 6th edition in Illinois and now very active since September here in NH.

I am Married for the second time... and have an 8 year old Daughter who still lives in Illinois with her Mom's Parents.

I didn't Choose Dark Elves... They chose me after My Ex-Wife started the army and I read the book and got really excited about the Dark Riders and Cold One knights...
