Metallica
Anyone like this band.
I'm a guitarist so they probably appeal more to me than most because they have loads of absolutely gorgeous guitar work in them.

Which songs do you know?
I've only just got into them and i've got the S&M album and Garage inc.
I can play: One, Nothing Else Matters, Sad but True, Hero of the Day, - Human, Sabra Cadabra, and bits of: Bleeding Me, Until it Sleeps, Tuesday's Gone, Turn the Page, and Astronomy.
They're a great band
What are their political and social stances?

Metallica is pretty good.
But the bests bands ever are (in no perticular order):
Led Zeppelin
Queen
Styx
The Beatles
The Who
Guns n Roses
The Velvet Underground
Twisted Sister

Mmmmm... Metallica! I have all released CDs (in Denmark, mind you) from Ride the Lightening and forth, except for Garace Inc. I even have Load & ReLoad, so as you can see, I'm a fan! Personally, I like their older music better, One for instance is brilliant. But we all know that
But I'm not into the band as such, since they don't seem particurarly (sp?) interesting. What are their political and social stances? And what's with the Napster thing?
However, most of the time I still prefer heavier music like Slipknot, Manson ect...

Actually I don't like "Human" very much. But I am madly in love with "No Leaf Clover"... that track is just excellent far beyond words!
Fave album... a home made one I made myself But of the original albums, it has to be either S/M or the black album. Can't decide. ReLoad is pretty good too (IMO). But they all ('cept maybe S/M, NLC is as said brilliant ) lack the 'power' of the really truly excellent metallica tracks, like the mentioned One or Fade to Black. But there's just soooo many great tracks... can't decide Im rambling
