mod questions ...

I've got some questions for the mods and I really like to get some answers.
At first, when can a mod decide to lock and/or delete a post?
Is that just his personal judgement, and can another mod "overcall" this locking? I saw a topic that stated "War on Iraq, yes or no?", and that was deleted, with following statement: "This should not be discussed here"... :?:

This brings me to my second question.
Is there some kind of censury (?)? I mean are there some things we are not allowed to talk about?
Are there any questions/threads we may not ask/post?

And thirdly, how do you become a mod? Is there some sort of counsil to decice over that (No Sneaky, or any other of the 5ive, don't say you do!) or does Kitrik do that? :?:

Nevertheless, I think this is important enough to keep on top.

There already has been a big discussion about mods locking posts in druchii discussion. So I advice you to look there. Mods can delete/lock posts when people are flaming/spamming/posting illegal content etc.

There is no censure although topics concerning politics/religion/war almost always end up in flaming and therefore shouldn't be discussed here. That was also the reason why the topic about the war on iraq was locked. But please lets not get there again. Just read the thread in DD

Nope, there's no council. The only ones who decide that are the admins.
