Finally, I've been waiting for this GW release for years...

http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront ... &orignav=9

Don't know what I'd do without them. 2d6 impact hits.

Excuse me are those rocks official?

Thats even better than the "scenic shrubs" that GW bought from an aquarium shop and sold for 8 times the price. I think I'm going to buy 100 so I can put together a piece of mountain scenery one rock at a time....

!lol! I don't know whether to laugh at tehm spending money on producing it, or cry at the fact that I know people who will buy it...

For those people actually serious about various modelling bits and accent pieces etc, Hirsht Arts has some excellent molds that you can buy and then you can cast dozens if you like.

Ah, that's why I haven't seen you in ages you old dog. You've been on the hunt for the perfect rock.. and you're embarassed that you spent nearly $1.50 each for a lot of them so you want us to get some.

You know something, I just might order some in pure spite of myself.

They've released a model! Excellent! Now I suppose the rules are official:

Rock: M0 WS0 BS0 S0 T10 W10 I0 A0 Ld10

Upgrade your rock at the following pts costs:

Exploding Rock of Cataclysmic apocalypse - 20pts - Once per game, you and your opponent pick up the table and chuck it across the room, models and all. Then burn the room, including the table and models. The rock must be hit with a hammer until it shatters.

Rock of Massive Potential Energy - 50pts - Once per game, flip a coin. Heads, you chuck the rock as hard as possible at anything on the table. Breakages count as casualties. Tails, your opponent does this. If it lands on its side refer to Exploding Rock of Cataclysmic apocalypse.

Rock of Victory - 5pts - Once per game, place the rock anywhere on the table. You win the game.

The ORIGINAL Rock - 80pts - Before the game, after terrain set up, place the rock on the table. After the game, you may remove it from the table.

Pretty fun huh? I've been playing them with my gaming group for a few years, but now that the official model is out, I assume the rules are official too? Perhaps even GT legal!

Don't forget, Liger. It's also Immune to Psychology.

Hooray now bad painters like me can win the golden deamon.

Judge: What is that?
Me: I call it a Caern when no one is around.
Judge: My god it is just so perfect it looks like a real pile of rocks.

Although just to Say I would be the A Hole to do that at a Golden deamon buy like 20 of those rocks paint them up and pile them up and just enter that as my entry.
Ian: We are trying to help as many starving children as possible
Me: Wait a day and there will be less of them

Well, in terms of actual practical application, it might be fun to use those rocks to build up a Rock Golem of sorts and use as a DoW giant in say, a dwarf army.

What is GW's price for ancient used braided hemp?

Is there a set of these with a hard place supplied? There are some things I NEED TO KNOW!

Frankly, rocks are broken. They always beat my scissors, and quite frankly I don't like the imagery and background of paper.

Finally GW is showing some support for the famous Troll game: "Capture the rock".

"Captain! They're hiding behind that space rock!"
"Asteroid, you retard!"

Blocks line of sight! :D

You, my precious, are going in my Battlefleet Gothic selection. I'm going to take a Slaughter-class cruiser, mount a huge, honking catapult, then sling that rock at them and, using Liger's rules, say it doubles as a Nova Cannon.

Finally, an equivalent to Deep Striking in Gothic...

...Sweet, sweet revenge...

Think I'd get a group discount if I buy a truck? (There are a lot of escorts in the fleet, and they don't want to share a rock.)

Hurray, now I don't need to go out to look for real stones anymore!

Makes me feel silly for all the years I spent wandering in the forests :D
