I recently moved to L.A. and am looking for a good gaming store or a group of friends who play. The stores i have found so far are, medicore at best with few fantasy players. I'm hoping for find a league to play in, however would be happy with just finding opponents. Would love to play in either a friendly or competetive enviroment.
I have 2500+ points of Druchii,
and 2500 + plus of Khemri.
If painting is a requirment my Druchii are about 90% done, and could be finished quickly. I have yet to start on the TK.
PM me, or post here.
Not really a good place on the forum for this kind of thing hopefully this is not to out of place.
Just moved to L.A., looking for players.

There's lots of gaming groups in LA. So it depends on where you live. There'sa couple of good leagues that I recommend joining if you want to get a game in every 2 weeks for sure... In what part of the town do you live?
Fantasy: Dark Elves, Dogs of War and Bretonnians 40k: Dark Eldar and Chaos Renegades, BFG: Dark Eldar, Epic: Dark Eldar, Man O'War: Slaanesh Chaos

I live in Valley Village, and got a few links for warseer.
The Southern California GW League.

Does anyone have an experience with this?
I would love to play every two weeks, any so any league suggestions would be very helpful
As for the GW stores themselves i have rarley been anything but dissapointed by them. I have not had the chance to drop the the 'Battle Bunker' however i was down in Orange County and went into the GW store there. Unfortunte to walk in and see GW employees trying to be salesmen when all i wanted to know is if there was a good time to drop by and play. Then to see the employees either cheat or be so ignorant of the actaul rules of the game while playing younger kids, is just made my distaste for GW increase.

Take all of my posts, when taking about balance, from a perspective of an all-comers list.
You're not far from me, Im in Hollywood... There's a couple of stores that are not too far away.
Check theor websites for addresses and open times:
Knightware. Pretty good selection, they have a small back space for gaming.

Game2beat. Has regular good RTTs, I think 20% off all GW and about 10 gaming tables. Good open hours and good players.

GameEmpire, located in Pasadena, opened a couple of weeks ago. They have a good San Diego store so this one should be great
The Last Grenadier, in Burbank on 820 N Hollywood Way. They have a lot of stuff and is crazy messy. Also organize good Cons with 40k and WHFB RTTs

Then you have GW stores all around you, but as you say are not that great for gaming.
Thats some of them.
I really recommend the socalgwleague. Run by great people. Cool trophies and good players. I've been in it for 2 years now. A season is just about to start up... It might not be too late to sign up. Use the contact link on the web site you found and ask for a spot. I played my Nurgle Beastmen under the name PusBrawlers...

It's a bit of a drive but we folks in San Diego meet every Sunday and there's no shortage of players both experienced and novice. Very friendly and helpful and pick-up games are easy! Hope to see you around!!
