Kislev
As I had some really interesting talking with naram sim on 'War against Irak' thread, we were ending taliking about poland lancers, and that remind me that I own few of Kislev's winged lancer (who just look like poland lancer of 16-17 century - almost historical model? Naram Sim coorect me if I'm wrong).
So as Kislev have been annouced in a WD as a 'maybe army', what do you think his units will be or what kind of unit you like to see?
I know there was an semi-official list supported by Armybuilder during the 5th edition, but that's past...
For me I hope they keep the style of winged lancers but change those mounted archers (they looked too much like Attila's troop for me).
I think winged lancers must be the main cavalry force in the army. Human on bear are too much chaos-like for my taste. I think of a fast, light human army supported by spirits/creatures of winter.

Check out the site I mentioned before and you'll get your answer, but I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of Russian and Polish from memory.

Bretonia as Bretonia YES
VC as Transylvanians YES
TK as a Egypt - NO
Kislev as a Russia NO - Rusia newer has something as winged lancers. Yes Setzer they looks quite same as winged lancers, for you Polish name for it is HUSARIA. So Kislev should be like Polish 16/17 or eaven 18 century Polish army. It shoul look wery nice. I hope WG will make this army. But Gav pleas no bear riders IN POLAND WE HAVE WHITE BEARS ONLY IN ZOO.

They are not entirely polish, I mean the winged lancers are not their only unit. Check out the site I mentioned to see what I mean.

I don't know if you noticed this, but Warhammer is fantasy not historical. There is a historical version of warhammer if you want it to be exactly like history.

we kneaw that WFB isn't historical game system but open some historical books not only DE army book and when you will do this you will finde that game dewelopers are basing on historical things. But nowadays they are basing more on hollywod superproductions than on history, that is wery funny because we have now egiptian like army based on movie!!!

Yes but there's a difference between "based" on history and "actual" history. Kislev is a land of ice and snow, Poland (although very cold) is not just a land of just ice and snow. There are heaps of differences between Kislev and poland but some of the troops are based on Polish history just some bretonnian troops are based on french history and so forth.
Bear riders might not fit into poland, but that doesn't mean they don't fit into Kislev. Now I would probably agree with you that they shouldn't be in the list beacuse I don't particularily like the idea of a human riding a bear.. it's just silly. But not because they aren't polish.
As for the WFB following hollywood, totally agree with you. It's because it's slowly becoming more and more commercial. But as long as the rules system isn't effected I'm not unhappy with that.

Naram Sin - Yeah I know, though for me that would be still pretty cold! brrr, it doesn't get that cold here. But still what I'm tyring to point out is that Kislev is not like that is all.
