Dalamar: The rogues had those sort of games... Who can sneak past Chromaggus, who can make it to chromag without killing 2 drakes etc. Good times.

Also, who can tank the longest. Espescially fun against Chromag and/or Nef. Once you got aggro you pop evasion and run towards the group. Then blame the tank for sucking when you were full dpsing from first second in. MWAHAHAHAHA

I remember those games as a rogue.

Also, kick for those healers.

Ok we have started working on setting up a folder and such for it here on the site. It will be hidden to all but those that are actually in it, so dont expect to see much until the game launches.

then you have no healers... and in a game where you have 1 healer for every 30 or so other players... it's not good situation :P
Thankfully WAR should rectify that.

That is the problem with playing a healer in wow, constantly spammed about healing instances. Even when you are in a 40 man raid they kept bugging you to come heal strat or whatever.

Healers will be less required for everything in WAR if just for the reason that every class has some sort of self heal while healers are the only ones who can heal someone else.
I love dwarf engineer's self heal name: "bite the bullet" :D

So, time to start discussing more stuff for fun.

I'll be rolling a Black Guard most likely. I got to play a shaman, zealot and a choppa at Gamesday last year and it was all great fun. Anyone else had any expierence?

Also, dont talk about the beta if you are in... I dont want any mistakes happening!

I'll test Sorceress/er and Devotee of Khaine and decide for one of them... leaning towards Sorceress at this point

Black Guard for me. First time WAR player, long time tanker. Indeed it is annoying when you are getting spammed by absolutely everyone for a heal (or a buff in some cases) and it sucks even more when you die because everyone just wants their heals and they don't think that someone should always be allocated to protect the healer. Then they blame you for dying and they just give up the fight when the priest dies. :P

Well, I'll be in the beta as soon as I get my preorder box! Yayness!

Anyways, as I've already said, I have no prior experience with MMORPGs... So I'm a bit in doubt as to what class I should take. But the Disciple of Khaine sounds cool, with cools mechanics, so I might be headed there.

Ah, hate to burst the bubble, but the preorder only allows you into the open beta, which hasn't begun as of yet. Considering there are two classes yet to even be finished, that could be a while.

EDIT: My real life best friend is in the beta. So far, what i've seen is...well......stunning. You all should be most impressed.

Yeah just found out :( I received my preorder box in the mail an hour ago, and after a long frustrating search I fanillay found out that the open beta wasn't open yet...

Well do I need to mention what class I will be playing? Will be a change from tank/healer/caster nuker that I played in the past. But might go with healer again if the witch doesnt fit my playstyle.

When I played, aka before the expansion, when I did a 40-man raid, I setted an away message telling "I'm doing a 40-man raid" ;) Playing Druid was fun but the PVP system of WoW wasn't fun at all and raiding was boring. I hope that Warhammer Online will have a better PVP system and not a game where the PVP is virtually inexistant.

I read about the PVP system and that's the only reason I wanna try another MMORPG again.

I might be a healer as well as tank. I shall quote the Medic from Team Fortress 2.

Rogues had kick to stop healers from healing themselves back to full in pvp. At least, thats what I used when I played WoW 2+ years ago.

The beta's PVP is already far more exciting and diverse than WoW, I assure you.

I actually think WoW is likely the weakest PVP MMO i've ever touched, barring EverQuest.

They still have it, shame that those few seconds just don't cut it.

Because WoW was *never* thought of as PvP game, and it isn't thought of as one even now. Blizzard simple caters to masses by patching on extra gear that you can get by farming battlegrounds/arenas instead of raids. It's not PvP.
You can't have pvp in a game where characters are tailored to kill monsters with hundreds of thousands hit points, and then send them to fight someone with 5-10k hit points.

Well my main was a Tauren druid as a nuker and sometimes healer during my WoW time. I will likely rolling a sorceress or black guard but will have to wait as I haven't gotten any experience with either class in the WAR environment.

I'm gonna be going for a BG or a Sorceress... or maybe both...

Out of curiosity has a name been decided yet? I'll need to know what to search when it's finally released.

Also slightly OT: I use a mac, but i was told somewhere that i can split my hard drive's memory and load microsoft on to the blank half. Thus having a pc hidden inside my mac... Anybody know how to do this? If it is actually possible of course....

Almundis it is quite possible. Guild names are being discussed and we plan to have a poll to determine the name.

I'll be rolling a black guard provided I enjoy testing it out!

I am in the same situation. IF I am able to do this, then I may not have to go buy a n ew PC right away to run WAR. To bad it wasn't compatible like WoW was. One thing I have to give Blizzard credit for.

I like playing on my laptop. For PvE this is fine, but it never really worked for PvP on WoW. I just couldn't hop around and run in circles quick enough (which I think is stupid anyways). I'm all for PvE, but not much into PvP.

no hopping around and running in circles in WAR!
If you do, some black orc will grab you and smash to the ground!
