Bloodbowl

Post by Lodark »

Just wondering if you guys had seen this (you probably have). Just in case I'll place a link here.

http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/#

I doesn't look too bad from the few images they show of it. Apparently it will include all the races.

Byt why Cyanide? From what I know, they are horrible. My younger brother plays their Cycling Manager games, and they try to put all kinds of unnecessary software that screws up your computer, with the installation.

Yes, Cyanide do have a habit of putting in unnecessary stuff, but as for why Cyanide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_League#Blood_Bowl_Connections

They made Chaos League, which was a blatant rip-off of the Blood Bowl tabletop game, and IIRC they got in a bit of trouble over it, but sorted it out in the end. I'd wager this is why they're now making it, it wasn't a bad game.
Finally; someone's put the 7th Edition Dark Elf book up for download: Here!
Grab it while you can!

I reckon the game will be ok, but really nothing beats actually sitting down and painting a team or 6 and getting together with your mates fortnightly and playin a tournament... BLOOD BOWL RULES YEEEEEA...
cheers

Agree.
Nothing beats the real BB.
Trouble is that they no longer sell individual minis but rather full team boxes so it becomes difficult to tune up your team.
By the way, the computer game will let us play either in normal gaming (i.e. 4 minutes each player in alternance) or in real time mode, just like Chaos League.
The normal game mode should prove useful to train your tactics at home against the computer... unless you play some teams like DE, Norse, Undead or other teams not selected for the computer game (yet?).

I'm a DE player aswell as a number of other teams, So i guess yea the computer game would be ok to help with tactics, as for the individual models i agree with you that its now hard to tune your teams, i jumped the gun early on and bought a heap of classic players so i could put them into my teams.... i pretty much have all the teams minus WE ogres and nurgle but i have the characters as well as some i made myself. wow i went a bit off topic there but yea i'm currently 1st in a comp between me and my mates for the Belly south trophy.
Sorry for the rant about model BB even if it was in a topic on BB but for a Computer game...

It would be cool to see them make an expansion that has the rest of the teams and it would be cool if they added a brawler feature that when you get tckled it goes into 1st person and you punch kick and stab that would be cool.
cheers for reading listening...
