I don't know how many of you were fans, but i'll deeply miss his wit, comedic genius and outlook. RIP, man. You deserve it.

*is so sad*

Yeah my husband told me this morning. He was a great comedian, and now he is at least up there with his wife who passed away roughly ten years ago.

For those of us of a certain age, he was one of the funniest comedians ever...!

Gonna have to go dig up my LPs for a valedictory listen...

I only recently discovered Carlin via YouTube and GoogleVideo - I enjoyed his programs, even the ones 20 or so years old, immensely.

"You can prick your finger, but don't finger your...." Ummm nevermind. Carlin provided endless hours of joy, listening to his albums and the occasional excuse to stay up late because he was on the tonight show. May his Toledo window box flourish forever.

I watched a few of his old performances on commedy central. First the cofounder of of D&D, and now him? Who's next, Ringo Star?
