I am really interested to see his rules - an unarmoured guy on foot with a couple of hammers vs Archaon, armoured to high hell (on big horse).

Is he a Bloodthirster in disguise?

Yeah, his stats will be the most interestingto me as he doesn't exactly look like the grand imposing figure Archaon is, though the model is quite nice. :?

It's a Warrior ¨Priest, but not of Sigmar... can't remember which god exactly, you can mount him on a barded warhorse, I think he can only join White Wolves (the guys with the warhammers) then...

Rules were in the latest White Dwarf...

What makes you think he's the Champion of Light?

For all we know the Champ of Light might be Da Git that Wurrzag is looking for...

Quasekomiki, you're thinking about the Warrior Priest of Ulric, that is already out and (as mentioned) had rules in the last WD.

No Fake a.k.a Death was talking about "Valten Champion of the Light" who is shown in the sneak peek area.

Two completely different thing =)

http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront ... reenbuyme2)%25%3E

no similarities :)

IMO, the guy, Valten, is a barbarian from the tribe of Sigmar. the guy is like Sigmar except...aham...he has clothes

Probably going to be like the Grey Knights in 40k (seriously anti-chaos), and also have a ward save from...errr...Sigmar.

No Fake a.k.a Death wrote:I'm guessing this dude will have very nice special abilities...how else would he survive? I'm thinking hammers that ignore ward saves and adds +2 to the strenght or soemthing...not to forget some nice special ability (like invoking sigmar?) He also might have a high initiative and ward save to compensate for the lack of armour!

Have a nice day :P

Fantasy, thankfully, has yet to get into the habit of ignoring cardinal rules like 40k. It wouldn't surprise me if he got numerous rerolls. Maybe he will have an "effect" on Archaon like the Everqueen did/does on Chaos.

And there has to be a reason why Archaon is I7, when every other Chaos Lord is I8...(Perhaps Valten doubles his own I against Archaon...hmmm...)

Speculation - ain't it great?

Have you noticed the tatoo Valten is carrying on his chest?? He is a reincarnation of Sigmar for sure.

Is that a good or bad thing?

I think he's going to need some pretty impressive rules against Archaon if the rules are going to fit the fluff.

I'm an Empire player (Middenland) and I say :| to the boy Valten !

This boy is probabily a Sigmarite heretic, come to denounce Ulric. He looks like a high elf, uses twin hanners and wears no armour ! Nay ! He should have a huge beard, a double handed cavalry hammer, a massive warhorse and enough armour to put a Brettonian to shame (sans helmet of course) ! Or if he must be of Sigmar at least give him a monicle and a powerful gunpower weapon !

*Sigh* at GW - Shadowblade :D Eltharion :) and Valten
