rain also rhymes with 'whitchbane' which is why it is chosen over water, but same thing. I see the similarities with manbane and lifetaker, but that is actually a complete coincidence, I just used 'witchbane' because of the portrayal of witches melting in water, and also 'bane' rhymes with rain.
That would be my secound guess. If its not correct I'll give up! Hehe.
Thanks! Though they are good guesses, neither squid, love nore reputability are correct. These last two riddles left are probably the trickiest, cunning, in their own way. Today's clue is: Drifts, dreams... is a part of the common man (most of them, anyways).
