User Control Panel
=> Profile
=» Edit account settings
(replace your username with the correct one)
=> Submit

Nope, the username field isnt editable....

Indeed, thee username cannot be changed in the control panel at all. At least not for regular users.

Im sure there was a post about this before the redesign. Does an admin need to fix it?

I can't change your username as an admin.
But I tried with myself, and found out I could change my own, using the procedure I suggested, with a slight addition I failed to mention the first time :oops:

You must enter your current password if you wish to alter your email address or username.

No, because the field is uneditable. I cant make a change....

This is the exact same control panel options that I have. The username cannot be changed at all.

OK, I've found why you can't.
There's a general permission for all users to change name, but your personnal account shows you're denied that permission.
Might be an inheritage from old D.net.

Could you try now?
(EDIT: did the same for you, Liquidedust, could you test?)

Now I have the option to change username, no longer blocked out.

All registered users should now be able to change their usernames...if I've done this right (because sometimes ticking the box that says something doesn't always do what it says...) .

Let me know if there is any issue.
