'ello Druchii. No idea how I haven't posted here before. Recently played a game of The Ninth Age and figured I should let you guys check out a battle report with my Vermin Swarm vs. some Dread Elves if you wanted. So, without further ado, here ya go!

I remember you from Lustria-Online when you were doing Lizardmen battle reports! Will definitely check this out.

How do you feel about the DE vs VS match up in 9th? Coming at it from the DE side, it often feels like the whole VS book has been designed around killing Elves. There's a plethora of special rules (shooting into combat, toxic attacks, AP6, no penalty shooting, supporting units with combinations of penalties to shoot at or ward saves) that can make it very challenging. Would you agree?

I still post reports on Lustria - I just don't have those Lizards (or any Lizards) anymore.

I'd agree that VS are bad matchups for Elves. We just have enough bodies to eventually win the war of attrition - and that's without the rules/benefits you're talking about. Dread Elves in specific have a very hard time as the strengths of that book line up perfectly with the strengths of Vermin Swarm - which is bad for DE. We have answers for Cav, Pegasus, Monsters, infantry, etc.
