Unit Strenght of a chariot?

Post by Shockwave »

Just something i was thinking about earlier today, then while reading a post it reminded me about it.

The unit strenght of a Cold one chariot is 4 that i know.

BUT what happens if i put a charcter in it?
does it go up like monster?
or stay the same cos you boot one of the crew off?
I'd rather lose a closely fought game then have it all sown up in a couple of turns.

Strangely, been here longer than most of the Admin staff.......

I believe that it is still strength 4-same number of people on the chariot, after all
Well, time WOULD be nice...
And, Storm of Chaos is here. Are you ready?

If you put a character in a chariot, it is treated like a ridden monster. So the US is 4 (wounds of the chariot) + 1 (for the character) = 5.

Some people like to do this so that it can remove rank bonuses...
There's nothing to see here. Move along.

Chariots

This was clarified in the annual and possibly in WD as well.
Unit strength of chariot is 4, but if a character is mounted in it unit strength is 5.
This also applies to ridden monsters.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Just a note the new Chronicles 2003 has jet another new movement and unit strength table in it.

Most noteable change for us is that war machines now have a unit strength equal to the number of crew left so no more unit strength 3 RBTs

The book is actually WARHAMMER CHRONICLES 2003
pg 134 and apparantly their last and final decision on such matters.

Cheers Keledron

Yes they decided to change the title to bring it into line with the articles in white dwarf this will be done with all the "annuals" apparently.

As to a US release date I've no idea but it must be soon as it's supposed to be a worldwide release. The officaial UK date was October 26 so I'd guess at about mid November
