poison clarification

Post by Vraneththecruel »

it sez in the rulebook that poison does not affect nonliving targets, but it also sez that this is clearly specified in the unit's description. it does not decribe this in the TK book, but they r nonliving. could u help me out?

All undead and Demons are affected by poison. The only things that arent are war machines and some odd stuff.

page 134 of the 2003 chronicles (You can also find this in the 2002 annual and a WD I think), the question whether undead are immune to poison or not:"Undead are no longer immune to poison. The reference to unliving targets in the poison description means chariots, war engines, buildings, and such like."

BTW, I'm moving this to rules questions

GW has stated that when used against daemons and undead the ones that use poisoned weapons probablyc hange it for holy water or similar stuff.

so why should it work just as usual? ;)

The fact is that undead hates things comming from Gods of all sorts ;)

Skaven poisons contain warpstone so IIRC correctly all skaven poisoned weapons count as magical.
