Just a Newbie Question on Musicans, Standard Bearers and Champions. In any unit which contains these models, when getting shot and in CC what do these count as being armed with. For Example in a Unit of CoK, they have Lances, Hand Weapons and if a Musican, Standard Bearer or Champion they will have the standard or a horn or if a Champion maybe a sword or something. Normally the standard or the horn is there in stead of a shield so do they still count as being armed with a shield, HW and Lance. Or does this count against them.
I know is a bit of a Newbie question and in all the games ive played you just assume they are, but ive never found anything in the rules to clarifly this. Cheers.

yer i thought so but do you have to show these weapons on the model or can they be left of and still count.

It is different for Hero and Lord models though - any equipment you use must be displayed on the miniature.
Actually technically that is only highly enforced in large scale tournaments. WYSIWYG is really more for 40k where it matters. We cant possible be expected to have a Highborn with removable arms for that one time we want to try out the Chill Blade ETC.

As far as WYSIWYG goes in Fantasy you really just need to have a guy with a sword if the magic weapon is a Hand Weapon, a lance if it's a magic lance, ect... As far as talismans go, you can just say they're there... if he's got the terror mask on... you can just say he does, or if you REALLY want to you can put a mask on him. Overall, if the model LOOKS right, then it's ok. You can't have a lord with a lance on a steed and say its a sorceress with metal skin and a pissy horse that fights like a cold one and a magic staff that looks surprisingly like a lance... That's illegal.
