Blood Banner

Post by Elfik »

I know I asked this before I wasn't convinced so I'll ask it here. Is a break test for all intents and purposes a leadership test? I have never thought so, it is a test which uses a modified leadership stat. I see that this is basically the definition of a leadership test, except that it is modified(based on CR), and it is not called a leadership test, it is called a break test. The purpose of all this is whether the new cold-blooded banner affects break tests.

Break Test is a leadership test.
It is *not* a psycholody test though as some people think.
And yes, with the blood banner that unit can test break on 3 dice discarding the highest

The new banner allows 3d6 discard the lowest on all ld tests for one turn. This would include break tests.

Another question regarding the Blood Banner; Do you have to declare to use it at the start of your turn, before rolling for stupidity, or are you allowed to roll 2D6 and if you fail you say that you use the banner and roll an extra d6?

You must always declare the use of an object if it impacts the roll of a die, before you roll the die. The only items that this rule doesn't apply to are those that have specific rules in their descriptions (i.e. the sacrifical dagger). So, you have to declare use of the banner before rolling your dice. No way around that.

Exactly, which is why it should not be used lightly, since you dont know what the other 2 dice will be you may roll 3 6's when you didnt really need to use the banner at all.

Yes, you announce at the very start of EITHER player's turn.
