Please remind me what Uncontrollable Manticore rule does

Post by MangoPunch »

I am writing up notes for a battle this weekend on my list (so that I don't forget anything) and I am blanking on what exactly Uncontrollable does for the Manticore. Is it just auto RAAAAARGH if the rider dies, or is there more to it?

It's also a Ld test every turn. Fail = Rider and mount are frenzied for the duration of that turn.

Thanks TD! So at the start of both my turn and my opponent's turn? Or only my turn and then lasts until next begining of my turn? ...

NP.

Test for uncontrollable only at beginning of your turn.

If failed, however, frenzy lasts until beginning of your next turn (i.e. frenzied during opponents intervening turn as well).

And I believe it has an automatic result on the monster reaction table when rider is killed.

Sorry if this is getting long, but does the Uncontrollable frenzy remain in play even if the Manticore loses combat? Or does it go away like normal Frenzy?

It is a regular Frenzy. The only specifics is how to get it (roll Ld test) and duration (until your next turn starts).
Note that even if Manti dies, rider keeps frenzy until his next turn.

Had a chance to consult book. I was right. A manticore that loses it's rider is automatically affected by "RAAARGH!" as defined on page 106 of the brb.
