The Gleaming Pennant is very clear that the "Unit may re-roll its first failed Leadership test." Not its second failed leadership test, or any failed leadership test you want, but only the units first failed leadership test.
But what happens if the unit is within the BSB bubble: 1) Can you elect to use the BSB re-roll instead of the Gleaming Pennant re-roll and assuming you pass the re-roll, use the Gleaming Pennant later in the game? 2) Assuming yes to question 1, if you fail the BSB re-roll does that mean that the Gleaming Pennant also becomes useless as you can only re-roll dice once and so cannot use the Pennant on your first failed leadership test?

1) No, if you have gleaming pendant in range of bsb it's essentially useless
2) look 1)
If you give the gleaming pennant to any unit make sure you expect it to be out of BSB range quite a bit (like a unit of knights when your bsb is on foot, or a unit of infantry when your bsb is mounted.

Re: Gleaming Pennant + BSB
Dalamar hit it right on point.
Re: Gleaming Pennant + BSB
Could you perhaps elaborate the rationale behind your interpretation Dalamar? I was always of the opinion that the rule on it was rather unclear, so would be interested in understanding exactly how/why it works the way you described.

Re: Gleaming Pennant + BSB
It's pretty clear.
Gleaming Pendant allows you to re-roll first failed Ld test.
You can only ever have one *first* failed test. If you re-roll it with the pendant or any other means is of no consequence, it was still the first one.

Okay, thanks, that makes sense. It's a shame, but I guess it is what it is.
