Feedback Scroll vs. Miscast

Post by toots »

Can it be played after an opponent has rolled two or more 6s?

Looking to erode a few wounds here and there from a marauding Daemon Prince!

Short answer, no.

Longer answer, the Feedback Scroll says it can be used "instead of attempting to dispel the spell".

Spells cast with Irresistible Force cannot be dispelled. Importantly, p33 of the BRB states that "your opponent cannot even attempt to prevent the magical mayhem soon to be unleashed - go straight to Step 4, Spell Resolution."

You are limited to using the Feedback Scroll instead of attempting to dispel, and Irresistible Force prevents you from even attempting to dispel. As such, you can't use the Feedback Scroll in this situation.

Try to take some comfort in the knowledge that there's a reasonable chance of the caster blowing themselves (and any nearby allies) to pieces, getting sucked into the Warp or forgetting most of their spells, as well as losing several additional power dice.
"The wrath of a good man is not to be feared. They have too many rules."

"Good men don't need rules. Today is not a good time to find out why I have so many."
