This is a question for the mods and higher up people really...
Seeing this has happened to the asur web page do they think it will happen here and if they do are they ready?? I don't want to sound insensitive but we have to look after ourselves aswell..

Kou'vas, Druchii.net has been attacked by hackers before.
The site went down about a year and half ago, and then again some time later.
Hackers are an everpresent problem, and after this incident with Ulthuan.org I think Kitrik will oversee his own security.

Thanks Lord N for that rather swift reply, I know it is definately a shame and condone anyone who would ever destroy someone elses work but just wondered how secure the hold actually is.

I didn't know about the hacking before either! I bet it was Skaven tunnelers!!

I too liked the site, i was not a member but it added variety to browse their stuff as well as ours.

On a more practical note, until they get a new isp (assuming they do) is the link to thewm going to be removed from the home page :?:

Well as already said we have the temporary forum here, and we are already doing our Ulthuanite fluff stuff - any of you familiar with the site knows the importance of the fact that we have begun the last Deeply Disturbed saga - "Deeply Disturbed 9: Memory and Time."

actually, your talking about crackers. hackers make stuff, such as the WWW. crackers break it. but its still sad that the wretched asur had their site taken down

Although I was never a member, although I did ocassionally have a peak, I do feel truely hurt, as this attack was not just against the members of Ulthuan.org but against all who frequent warhammer forums on the internet. Ulthuan just happened to be the actually target.

It is a greta shame as it was such a greta forum, second only to this one (sorry, but a bit of racial pride is still needed

).

Is there not something we could do? Could we not open upa temporary board dedicated to Ulthuan.org. Perhaps even call it the same thing. Just to give you a home untill you can build a new site.

damn why do this shiz hapens.....

even thought I did never realy liked the page in the first place (even thougt i play HE) its sad to se it go down to hackers

so let all of us share a minute of silence for our brothers and sisters over at ulthuan that lost ther forum and fluff area
maybe I will have to spend the night to find avelornian fluff before it's totally closed......

I know how the mebers of Ulthuan.org feel! Into one site (where I had a account) wich was started about half-year ago was also attacked by hackers (or crackers). They destroyed whole site and left was a huge Elvis pic wich had writen; "You are fag!" spam.

So all pity (wich is almost non-existant) what in my druchii dark heart can muster, go to your loss. I hope that you recover soon and remade anew the site and become better than before (like the site did and now we are fine and we have fond memories of our old site).

I regret that another great warhammer site has bourne the attack of another senceless indiviual(s). It is a real shame for some one to destroy what others have created and worked hard at.

I hope that this was not another COL invasion from idiots that cannot differentiate this great game from the wrold of realtiy.

Its sad to see the work of a lot of ppl destroyed,
it's like rape. I hope you'll find a solution soon so
I can spy once more to take a sneek preview at my
oponents army lists again. Nah Seriously, it's a

I-net user can do especially with the SoC coming up.

I think it is even sadder if this is not the work of hackers unconnected with wargaming but actually a deliberate sabotage by other wargamers.
