The monthly will be delayed by at least 24 hours

I am proud to announce that the May issue of the Druchii.net Monthly is complete and ready to be written to PDF and then uploaded to the site.

Just one problem: my PDF writer is giving me some hassles. It will be at least 24 hours before the problem can be rectified and the Monthly be made available to you all.

I apologise for the inconvenience, and wish to stress that the blame rests entirely with me and no one else from the Monthly crew. Every effort is being bent to get it out to our loyal readers ASAP!

Update: It will most likely be uploaded tonight. My PDF writer has been fixed, but a new problem cropped up: my crappy computer doesn't have enough RAM to write to PDF for some reason. I went through the gruelling 2-hour process of uploading the publisher file (even zipped, it's about 70 megs) to a website where Imdat could download it and write to PDF for me. There were a couple of straggler pics to be worked in, and the cover art is only just done.

Imdat will probably upload it sometime today, but I can't guarantee anything until I see him on MSN (most likely tonight).

Once again, I'm sorry for all the kerfuffle. I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen again (everyone, including and especially me, was lazy with the deadlines).

Sneaky: Assuming you're running windows with MS Publisher, running out of memory while creating a PDF (or printing a document, for that matter) might well be a sign of restricted swapfile space and/or drive fragmentation - a good defrag might solve this

This computer has gone through so many defrags that it's a wonder I can even die in Counterstrike (poor, obscure joke... hint: dying = fragging). I agree, it does need a good kick in the pants- er, defrag. Yeah, defrag. I'll make my mommy do it (since it's her computer).
