September Monthly up! (temporary site)

Post by Nagathi »

It seems like our luck with technicalities never change. yet again we have struck some obstacles when uploading the finished monthly. This time it seems like we have issues with the ftp - Our own master of these things, Imdat Tauble, is working on fixing it for you, but meanwhile GeOrc has been so kind to host the pdf on his site for as long as it takes to fix out problems.

The September Monthly can be found here: http://www.druchii.net/monthly/

As soon as that darn ftp starts to cooperate with Imdat, we can host it on the regular monthly site. For now, this will do.
I am not the usual guy to write this, but on behalf of the Monthly Team, we present you another great issue!

Nagathi
Loremaster

EDIT: I have uploaded the monthly to the monthly site (www.druchii.net/monthly/). Imdat.

For the first time I read a whole monthly and... I liked the experience :) I'll just say 2 lines:

1) The-Convent@netcabo.pt - Please send comments on the characters !

2) That Conversion of the Goblin/Grave Guard isn't mine, is a friend's. Actually, the same friend that drawed that "Black Guard" Elf that was used in the Monthly back there and as background for the Storm of Chaos banner on this site. She's really amazing :)

Good job to all of the members of the initiatives :)

Any; why isn't she a member of ddn? maybe she could be an illustrator.

Because she has more to do than joining us :) She's an illustrator, professinal designer... or is she an architect.. dunno, of of those, and thus she has little to no time.. and also, she's a vampire player :)

Wow this is a fantastic issue !
Some really great features in here again - starying with the overall look & feel of it - MDK once again shines through - great stuff.

Loads of useful tactical info with three (count them) KTE articles !

Great summary of the SoC Lustria campaign too, by Underway (right up until the bit at the end where he thanks Khaine - Grrrr  )

And from the point of view of those of us in the CoP initiative, it was good to see Tastyfish's Dranack Lord of the Watchtowers article finally make it to publication - a month late due to the SoC coverage last time but well worth the wait.

RagainCain's Noble conversion should satisfy all those people who keep asking how to convert a Noble - a good article and sure to be popular with all the P&M enthusiasts out there.

Add to this another terrain project from Silas and an interesting look at some of the less popular magic items, and you have the makings of another classic issue - but don't take my word for it - go get it now !

Swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh

And sensual daydreams to treasure forever

Each initiative will, in the fairly near future, have their own sites. All articles that appear in the Monthly will be found at these sites when they are up. IIRC, the Temple of Khaine site is the closest to completion, but TMLAS etc. are coming.
Goodbye.

The Temple of Khaine one IS complete. Looky here: www.druchii.net/tok or click the link in the same drop-down menu as where you usually find the monthy (under "Initiatives"). Next one to be completed is the Cult of Pleasure one. They take an awefully lot of time to do, but work is at least in progress.

We might, in the future consider selling printed issues from the store, and/or maybe even do something like a Best Of. But atm, there aren't any plans for it.

Looks even better when it's on the net, Nagathi! Just a word of advice: the links are working as pop-ups instead of same-browser targetting. Intentional?
Goodbye.

Sneaky: For the articles, yes that is intentional. In case you want to copy and read more then one you don't have to hit the Back-button (I know people who don't know where it is or what it does). It was just simpler this way. However, there is a bug on that page that I will try to fix asap (don't click ToK Main Page when you're already on the ToK Main Page).

My compliments to all who worked on this monthly.
It looks better and better all the time. Well done Sneaky with putting it
together. You did well, it seems like I do'nt need to take over your
job :D
You’re a wreck, an accident.
Forget the freak, your just nature.
Keep the gun oiled, and the temple cleaned shiz
snort, and blaspheme, let the heads cool, and the
engine run. Because in the end, everything we do,
is just everything we’ve done.
