Finally… The Monthly !!!
After four incredibly long months of waiting, it has finally arrived; the ‘January’ Issue of the Druchii.net Monthly!
But first, I need to apologize. It is not like we have never had any delays with the Monthly. On the opposite, it has almost become tradition. But even for use four months is unacceptable.
I need to apologize not only to you, our loyal readers, for keeping you in anxious anticipation and postponing this issue one time after another, but also to the excellent writers of this magazine. They have worked very hard to finish their articles in time, and then this; the most horrible delay any magazine has ever had. That is not what their articles deserve.
So with this, my sincere apologies. Apologies to all of you we have kept waiting. I am very, very sorry for this delay. Thanks for not giving up on us, too. Especially to our writers; we will re-organize the monthly so that something like this can never, ever, happen again.
For those interested in what went wrong, this is the story:
During Christmas, Druchii.net went down. A sad day, but even sadder for the Monthly, for we had to merge the January issue – the two year anniversary issue, none the less! – and the February issue into one so as not to give you two less-than-acceptable Monthlies. All well and good, you would say, but no. The next thing we ran into was a Loremaster – not the Asur kind, but our Head Editor – who was too busy with real-life, which was quite inconvenient, since all feverishly finished articles now had to wait for real life to be pressed back to the background once again .
Now a few weeks into march, if I recall correctly, the articles began to appear on our forums completely edited (the work of a new Loremaster), but the most important person of our magazine – the person who actually puts it together – unfortunately ran into rather unpleasant real life problems too.
Luckily, both of them have now either overcome their problems or are getting there; they have taken some time off Druchii.net, and the Monthly has been able to find replacements for these great people.
Welcome to Lethalis and Malekith, and thanks for saving the Monthly!
As I have already said, we will re-organize the Monthly to make sure there will be no more delays. We will appoint vice- initiative leaders, back-up writers and other reserves, we will have an easier to maintain article cycle with only the most important article of one issue being scheduled in advance, and we will give better support (and awards ) to our members.
However, we have also been necessitated to reduce the size of the Monthly.
But let me not bother you any longer! Enjoy this 56-page Issue like it is your last!

My compliments with the capital "C". Well done. You do'nt need my layout you

Keep up the good work, and if you have questions, plz ask. (Ps when making a
PDF in Indesign, make sure the settings are for Acrobat 5.0, that will make all
white lines disapear). Again, you exeeded my expectations m8.
Gr, a happy MDK. (B)

You’re a wreck, an accident.
Forget the freak, your just nature.
Keep the gun oiled, and the temple cleaned shiz
snort, and blaspheme, let the heads cool, and the
engine run. Because in the end, everything we do,
is just everything we’ve done.

Damn fine job. Gorgeous. I really love the Watchtower scenario. It may force me to make a Druchii Watchtower or two.
Glad to see it is all rolling again.

It's got to be said it's a good issue and I'm amazed by the lay out and it's good to have the wait over.

I just quickly browsed through it ( don´t have the time to read it today ) and I was impressed. The cover is fantastic, layout is well done and as allways there are a lot diverse articles on our beloved race.
There is no need for all this applogising - real life takes its toll and we can do nothing against it.
But I would like to ask one thing. There used to be an article "Letters to Khaine" ( or something simillar ) which was qiute amusing. Can we expect to see this article sometime in the future?

Weak perish so that the strong can live. It is the law of nature. It is the law of the Druchii.

As I said countless times before, blame it all on me. I mean it. All of these delays could have been avoided.
Z'Gahn, I'll upload the correct monthly in a few minutes, together with the site update. When I do, I'll unsticky this thread and start a new. Hope it's ok with you...
