We are Legion!

Post by General kala »

Druchii.net has reached a landmark today. We are now 10,000 members strong. Quake in fear, Asur scum!
Because anyone vicious enough to shoot down her own battlecruiser because there might be a traitor at the helm deserves to have a Druchii namesake.

Kelahir did it. Lets get him.

Seriously, it's good to see Dnet going strong after so many years.

Pfah, only 10k? ;)

Congrats to Kitrik for the site, and to everyone else.

Where on Earth does the "We are legion" line come from?

Edit:

Ah, well, my bad. I'm afraid I haven't read the world's best-selling novel yet. I need to get around to it, when I feel like reading a thousand odd pages of badly-written narrative.

Well done everyone, especially Kitrik, Langmann and Kala for keeping this site going for almost 4 years now, even if it has spent about 3 years down ;)

Nope, beanhead was number 10,001. Kelahir has the honor of being the 10,000th Slave (which is now his official title).

Congratulations, everybody.

How many are active?

Active as in at least logging in and posting regularly, active as in at least logging in and reading, or active as in at least having posted at some point? Because you'd get different numbers for each of those definitions. ;)

Not that anyone probably cares, but by Roman standards we were a legion a long time ago, since they only needed about 6,000 troops. However, we have to have at least 100 that ride horses. That might be tricky.

Anyway, congrats to all.

I really think all the people without any posts should have their account deleted, to be honest. We should take this opportunity to humble ourselves and get an accurate (-ish, at least more than right now) number of members.

A time-out on accounts (i.e. don't post for fifteen days after registration, account is auto-deleted) would be nice too, but this isn't Suggestions.

You do know the concept of Lurkers, do you? It's not like those "dead" accounts harm anybody.

Maybe they registered to be able to view the Album - or the board in general. (I'm not sure if a logged in account is needed to view either but it's at least a possibility). Not everybody is a mad contributor.
