Just to clarify here as well.

The Empire and High Elf FAQs are both the new ones. The core rules and O&G are the same that have been up for quite some time. THe Vampire FAQ is still old at this point.

Wow...I never expected GW to bring out a FAQ this early. I half expected the planet would leave its orbit when I read of this.

I agree, however Dragon Princes are immune to fire attacks. So flaming cannonballs wont do anything but a normal cannonball will do some damage. I don't see the logic on this bogus rule. How can dragon armour stop a cannonball in it's tracks. Well I doubt it stops it in it's tracks but a S10 cannonball hurts while one which is on fire doesn't do squat? How silly.

I guess anything is possible Rork, but it's still hard to believe that it can just stop the whole attack just because it's on fire.

Annoyance of Netlings vs. Autohit weapons - what a retarded "clarification".

1) I don't think it would have needed a clarification in the first place - if no to-hit roll takes place AoN is plain useless.
2) Consequently the ruling in the FAQ is simply wrong according to my understanding of core rules.

Did you see the one about the Wood Elf Wild rider horses. The horses are magical and get a bonus attack if not charging. Is this how it has always been played?

You can also move a unit in the enemies movement phase so as to reposition you treeman ancient or unit of treekin for a flank rear charge out of the wood in your turn.

I am interested by the high elf FAQ about drain magig and bound items. I though bound items had a casting value (thats what you roll your dispell against) is it not call casting value.

I read through the FAQ for orcs and something struck me.
When buying a chariot for a boss its bought as a monstrous mount instead of a chariot meaning it doesnt take a special slot as for other armies. That means a 2k army of orcs can potentially have 8 chariots. (4 special choices+4 monstrous mounts)
This made me ponder. Is a Chariot bought as a monstrous mount function as that or a chariot in mechanics terms?
Daddy! I sorta kinda had an accident... I was playing with my slave and it sorta... Umm... It's arm fell off!

Doesnt count as a special for some armies, it varies from book to book. Orcs can have 8 yes as they dont count as special. But they count as chariots (so no monster reaction test etc).

No they have a power value not a casting value.
