Sometimes it happens that after posting the browser just continuously loads and won't show the post. In most cases the post will still have been received.
Instead of going back and hitting submit again (that results in the double posts!), best wait a minute and copy your text to the clipboard (mark text and CTRL+C), just to be save, and go back to where the thread's current last page is shown and then reload the page. Your post should show up then. If not, try to post again (pasting the text you copied earlier with CTRL+V).

Could perhaps also be good to tip users about what to do when a double-post has appeared.
As long as no one has replied to your post, you have the ability to delete one of the two posts. If someone has replied, you could notify a moderator or administrator through PM, or the report button (I'm not 100% sure you can report your own posts though).
