Persistent Sponsors Needed

Dear Members of Druchii.net,
Druchii.net has been experiencing huge jumps in visits and data transfers. Our site has become very popular and is now overloading the current server we are on. We are in desperate need of a dedicated server. With the revision under way and the worldwide recognition that we will recieve when it is accepted, the site is only going to get bigger. Without a dedicated server, this site will have a very tough time staying alive. As of right now, the site will be deleted on Wednesday to clean out any hackers/crackers that are utilizing the site for their personal use. After that we will be trying to move to a dedicated server. That is less than one week away. What we need to get a dedicated server is around 20 members who are willing to donate a small amount of money each month to help pay for the server. The dedicated server will cost around $100 (still to be determined exactly) so if we get 20 members then it will only be a $5 donation per month - pretty good to keep the most popular Warhammer site on the internet open. Well how big are we talking? I know that the b&c(big forum site) just moved and they have about 5000+ members..

Anyways what I know is that they have a different kind of software but its about 1/10 of the cost per month...and they have only gone down once for about an hour...what I recall.

Well, kitrik all I could find out was that they went through invision board and got new software thats really cheap...neither of them would talk about there server or package they got though...

Doh! The message board isn't the problem. phpBB is free and so is Invision. It's the server that we are having issues with... Thanks for asking though!!!

I'm getting an emailer function error... I'm guessing that Parcom has shut down our access to the emailer script on our server. In which case, just ignore those debug messages for now. They should dissapear once we move servers...

Hell, I'd willingly pay 20 a month to keep this site up. See, I think, if all the moderators dish out 5 bucks a month, we can stay afloat. And that is not too much to ask, and as moderators, we have more responsibility towards this site than the regular members. What do you say, Kit?

Like several others, I do not have a credit card and therefore cannot use Paypal, but I'm quite willing to send money if an alternative method can be arranged. Since I live in the UK and we don't use the US$ (yet! !lol!

), it would be best if I send 6 months' or a year's 'fees' at a time to save on currency exchange costs.

I will be sending out a mass 'sponsor' email in the next 1 or 2 days giving you instructions on how to donate. Hopefully I can get enough of an initial donation to cover the setup fees and the first monthly fee. If we can get that then we should be sitting pretty...
