Small force....good force

Post by Lord katan »

It seems to me that indeed dark elves....among other elves....are meant to have small armies, concentrating all powerinto specific combat units, which are supported by the special troops and the other more maneuverable units. i have employed a HEAVY FLANK TACTIC. Basically the idea is to deploy my whole amry in one table quarter, leaving lot's of dead space. The enemy is going to get drawn in across the table, weakening his battle line while my fast troops hit his other flank with as much deadly force as possible. By the time his other flank sweeps around my fast force has usually overwhelmed their objective and will be continuing on to the other troops, my deployment look kinda like this.

i AM THE X'S

ENEMY IS THE O'S

00 00 00
00 00 00 00

XX XX XX Dark riders on the far flank
infantry XX
XX XX

X X
REAPERSIN BACK

I use the dark riders to flank while the reapers whittle the units across from the infantry, as well my scorceress will help. I wish I could draw a better picture, but you guys will get the idea.

So draw it in paint and then post it as a JPG :D
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
