please take the time to read your private messages! You should get a popup telling you when you got one, if you have popup blockers please disable them here or make it a habit to check to see if you got any.

Private messages are the primary tool for us moderators to inform our members of things that affect them personally. So please take the time to read them!

The moderator team that is growing tired of people that wont read their messages and thereby giving us a headache.

I would, but you don't see how many new messages you have.

2 months after my join date I discovered I had a Welcome message :P

If you hover on Control Panel at the top of the page, and click private messages you can check them.

There's a neat option to be notified via email when you get them.. (in your options.)

You can also check your messages by clicking right here!

If you get warned by a moderator, and fail to check your PM's we are not responsible for your negligence.

:)

Wow Fr0! That link worked and I totally got to see that I haven't got any new messages for about 6 months. Thanks for reminding me.

Seriously, I tend to often be strolling around those menu's and look at my PM once in a while.

The Mods need YOU to check your PM's.

What hye said. :D

Seriouslt, IU do read my inbox when I notice a message there. But often, it has arrived many weeks or so earlier, due to the D.net PM box being at the bottom of the forums. :D

That's another thing, you can also reply to them. It's basic politeness and also prevents you posting stuff like the above (which the intended member has no guarentee of seeing, unlike a pm).

If everyone always saw their PMs, this thread wouldn't exist, now would it?

I don't see why anyone can have this problem. All it involves it sc rolling down to the bootom of the Index. Really guys, it's not that hard.

There are even pop-ups and e-mails...(and the user in question has both turned on)

Ignore them at your peril...

What I think some people do is simply read without signing in. If they see something that they want to reply to, then they'll log into the site, but otherwise, they won't. This means that they don't get PM's until after the fact on occasion. I know that I do it a lot, for example.

You would still expect people to check their e-mails on a fairly regular basis, though. Even if it's once a week or somesuch.

mostly rules violations

but sometimes we wish to inform that we moved a thread/edited a post

can be other things as well but those are the most common

Not anymore! ;)
While running a million dollar company, singing at weddings, and his frequent jetting to Spain Elton Jon style, Dark Alliance found the time to stand on the doorstep of Games Workshop like Moses and the Pharoah and calmly state, "Let my people go."

I noticed that. It does stand out as soon as you hit the Index. Nice move.
